Chicco UltraSoft® 2-Way Baby Carrier - Vega is rated 2.9375 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money I bought this because I thought it was a reasonable price and looked nice. This carrier is terrible! My daughter doesn't fit in it well and the one strap cuts across her face. It also doesn't have very good support, so I end up supporting her with one hand. Not to mention, it takes two people to get her out! I wish I kept the box so I could return it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money We received this carrier as a shower gift and we are very sorry that this is the one we chose for our registry. Once my son was over 12lbs, I could no longer carry him in this one. There is no support for your back and all the weight falls to your shoulders. My husband and I both found it to be very uncomfortable and difficult to wear for only a few minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great infant carrier Carrier is confortable. My daughter has been using it since she was 2 weeks old and falls asleep in it. She is now 2 months and continues to like it. No complaints so far. I love the attached burp cloth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Crotch dangle... Not the worst carrier I tried, but certainly not the best. It was fairly comfy for short periods of time when my son was under 10 pounds. Now, at 14 pounds it's a strain on my shoulders after just a few minutes, so we switched to the Infantino Flip that has a support waist belt (and is cheaper). But more importantly, the crotch on this carrier is VERY narrow and leaves their poor little legs dangling. I'm not completely sold on the carriers that support all the way to the knees, but this is like a thong on my 5-month-old. I like that it has a drool bib. The "pockets" are TINY. We couldn't even jam a pacifier in it, which begs the question, what WILL fit??? certainly not a phone or wallet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for lil ones We got a carrier on our baby shower we tried it with our 3 week old baby but it was horrible too big and didn't feel right so my husband bought this one and we love it. It carries and hugs out lil one so nice and it's sooo soft and comfy to carry. Prefect to carry new tiny baby and it will be perfect and so soft for when he's older so glad my hubby went and spent money on this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from get a different kind A carrier where the baby is seated and hips are supported in a frog/hug position is best for everyone physically and mentally -baby can get over stimulated and can't turn away when forward facing-, and hugging an adult is a natural position of being carriedor held. I love my ergo performance but I'm dreaming to upgrade to a tula. I used a baby k'tan when she was newborn.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from sufficient, but not perfect. Pros: Fairly simple to use Half the cost of most carriers Good quality material Nice neutral color Relatively comfortable Great for someone who just needs help holding a child while not moving around much.

BabyCenter Editors' review

What it is
You can have it either way with this lightweight, breathable carrier – wearing your baby facing in or facing out. We love how easy it is to get on and off; the over-the-head, slip-on style nicely accommodates both moms and dads of varying sizes. Parents appreciate smart touches like thickly padded shoulder straps, a unique "cuddle" pocket too soothe and comfort your baby, and even a detachable drool bib.

While this carrier doesn't have much in the way of lower back support (because the straps cross the back without wrapping around the waist), it's an affordable, simple carrier to use for quick trips. For long walks or if you have an older, heavier toddler, consider the Chicco UltraSoft Magic Carrier, which offers more support with a height-adjustable piece that runs down the back and across the waist.

What to watch out for
Getting the baby out of the carrier is just as simple – unless he's asleep. That's when you'll wish this carrier unbuckled from the sides so you could slide your baby out without lifting him straight up.
