OK, there were a ton of reviews for this dresser, and most of them were pretty terrible -- invariably focused on what a PITA it was to put together. I bought the thing anyway, knowing I was well-informed about its flaws, when it hit 40 percent off a couple of weeks ago. One of the main reasons I went ahead and bought it was that along with the bad reviews there were a couple of people who had helpful tips for those of us who are less mechanically inclined. But the reviews have disappeared!! !!!!! Thanks so much, Target! I knew what I was getting into thanks to those reviews, and I was counting on them to help put together this thing -- which is indeed a challenge. I can't believe the company would take off the reviews -- that's appalling, Target!

Unless you want to use lots of gorilla glue, dont buy this. I am not too picky but this dresser is terrible. I am not being a snob! This dresser is already broken. I bought it on sale for [$]. It was difficult to put together and I am a decent builder. It seems that the last few pieces of furniture I have purchased from target have been horrible. What is so bad? It was hard to put together. It already broke. It looks terribly cheap! The color is not great. If it was [$] I would stil l not want it. I am going to see how to get a refund. I will go to [...] for decently priced items that have decent quality. Sheeesh. Really disappointed.

There were other reviews on this that don't appear to be showing up anymore. They all seemed to be the same that they had trouble putting it together so I knew what I was getting into. I will say that at full price this piece is not worth it, but I bought it on sale and at that price I would say I'm happy w/ my purchase. I personally had no issues at all putting this together and I'm a 37 year old SAHM. I just took my time. My only issue was w/ the drawers. The assembly left the drawer fronts a bit flimsy & I thought that when the drawers where loaded that the fronts may just pull away, so I used wood glue and I''m confident they will hold up. Also, the screws that go into the rail on the side in the final step stuck up too far & wouldn't allow the drawer to push all the way closed smoothly. The screw doesn't actually physically attached the rail to the drawer, it just keeps it from sliding out too far, so I left the screws out until I can find a screw w/ a shorter head.

I bought this today. I simply cannot believe that they have 1/8 inch pressed paper as the bottom of the drawers. It will not hold up to any use. If you just want to put it in a corner for looks, then go for it. If you want to put anything into it, you better buy from a different vendor.

If this product was missing the assembly instructions, it is an easy fix, just call 1-855-MYTGTHOME, it was a number on the box, they will email you the instructions within four hours, I have already got mine

I purchased this because I was in dire need of a dresser and it was on sale at [...]. Now I know why. The top drawer is completely busted and after two weeks had fallen off of the rest of the drawer--which defeats the entire purchase. After an attempt to put it back on and pull out the drawer, IT BREAKS IN HALF. DON'T BUY THIS. [...].

This is shoddy craftsmanship for sure. I would not, under any circumstances, purchase this to put in a child's room - it is a potential death trap. Fortunately, we bought it for an adult. As previously noted, there are the general problems of putting it together. I had one small dowel that split in half and one side locking bolt that literally split the wood. The screws that go on the drawer sliders don't work and the metal sliders keep pulling away from the wood. I think I can repair these thr ough other means. But, the top comes up if you try to lift and move the piece. Also, the dowels and bolts that hold the shelves to the sides kept coming out. I would be afraid if a child were to climb on this or try to jerk a drawer open or closed that the entire piece would fall onto the child causing a trip to the ER. Use your money to find a good piece of furniture at a yard sale or antique store.

Its a cute dresser, Its hard to put together, the screws to hold the drawers on the sliders are too small and don't screw into anything. i had to buy nuts to hold them together. Last but not least once everything is put together the drawers do not close all the way b/c of where the holes for the screws are on the drawers. the sliders only go so far. I am really picky and if i wasn't having a baby anytime now, i would be returning this product. But it was on sale and i am not up for the hassle .

This dresser is horrible. I was not expecting something extremely nice, but something to last maybe a couple years. The dresser did not even last 6 months! It was very difficult to put together first. The drawers do not close correctly, and the bottoms of the drawers fell out, as well as the front of the drawers fell off. The dresser fell apart! I purchased two of them, for two different children, and the second one is starting to fall apart as well. Horrible!!!

I finally put it together... well almost. The screws that go in at the very end to hold the drawer to the metal railing are too small. Hot dogs down a hallway. I'm going to have to go to the hardware store to find the right size so they actually stay put and hold things in place. That being said, I do like the feel and look of it so far. I got the white version, and it seems like it is pretty sturdy and the parts that need to be solid are solid like the top, sides, etc. I didn't want to pay [ $] for a real wood dresser when I know this is kids dresser and nothing fancy is needed right now. I just need to get those screws. That's my only real gripe.
