Rated 2 out of 5 by from Maybe there was humidity in the air but I couldn't tell? My doctor recommended that I get a cool humidifier for my babies in the winter months. I should have done some research on hot versus cold humidifiers but I just went with the recommendation and didn't ask any questions. I read online that doctors tend to recommend cool humidifiers to hot because kids that are mobile have burned themselves on the hot humidifiers when curiosity got the best of them. Well, knowing that I would have preferred buying the hot humidifier and securing it than $50 buck for a cool humidifier that didn't seem to do anything. I'll explain why I feel this way. Heat rises. When I was young and Mom would use the hot humidifier in our room I noticed that the steam would rise, probably until it cooled and fell back down to the ground. That would create a circulation and cover a considerable amount of air to humidify. Not satisfied with the results from the cool humidifier I observed that the cool air comes out of the top and then falls to the ground. As recommended by the instructions, I put the humidifier on a water proof surface at least two feet above the ground. I didn't register a difference so I unplugged it and put it in the closet. You could say that in order to help the situation you can place the humidifier near the ceiling but I don't have any structure for that and then you might as well have a hot humidifier if it's that far out of reach. I would rather have bought a hot humidifier is the conclusion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well & stays clean This is a great humidifier that is low maintenance. It's easy to use, when full is good for about a week & stays very clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good! I bought this humidifier because of my last sinus infection - I had lost my voice and had been sick for too long. During the hot summers in Texas, my boyfriend and I like to sleep with the AC down low and the fan on high. I knew that was I overdue to spend the money on buying a humidifier. I found this and although I didn't get the color that I wanted I am glad that I bought this. It's very quiet, and it runs for a very long time. Very pleased with the quality and size of the product with the money that I spent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute little humidifier We put this Crane Humidifier in our fairly large bedroom. It seems to work fine. We bought the filter (found in the pharmacy section at Target). Filter HS-1932 fits fine (but we had to push it down hard the first time to get it in -- you will use the cap that came with the filter, not the cap that came with the humidifier). There is no way to change or add water without spilling it everywhere, just so you know.... so just be careful. Instructions say to empty out the water when not in use, but I have not done that. We haven't noticed any white dust on our furniture; however, when we cleaned out the clean air machine that sits close to the Crane humidifier, it was FULL of white dust.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Returned it My son needs his room close to pitch black to sleep well. The power light on this machine is INSIDE the water reservoir, so there is no way to cover it up with electrical tape to keep the light from illuminating his room, plus it illuminates all the water so its like a lamp. I don't know how well this item works, because we couldn't use it, it lit up his room too much at night so we returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great Took me a few minutes to figure how to put it together, it's a bit bigger than I expected but I love it! It works great and is easy to empty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Humidifer This humidifier is easy to use, super quite and works great! I love that it is so quite and it runs for such an extended period of time. It has multiple settings for the amount of vapor you want to put-out and and the nozzle is 360 degrees which makes it easy to move around based on where you or your child are in the room. We use it all the time when anyone in our home is sick or we just need extra moisture in the air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Humidifier Seemed to do the trick for us. Seems to need a bit of weekly maintenance but the price is worth it.
