Crayola 120ct Crayon Box product details page

Surprised to see two 48 ct boxes and one 24 ct box when we opened this. Yes, they are different colors, but the packaging should have identified it as such. Expecting a child to look through three boxes for the perfect color instead of one large rainbow-order box is ridiculous.

I'm no artist, but I've loved coloring for 50 years now. No other brand ever came close to the quality of Crayola. There is more variety in colors; and their smooth, rich formula results in a beautifully colored picture that is not blotchy, shiney, or more wax than color. This particular product is my absolute favorite.

When I first opened this package, I was disappointed because I thought it was just two boxes of 48 crayons and a box of 24. Upon further examination, I realized that all the colors were different. They were not the box of 48 or 24 that you see in the stores. There were many colors that are ONLY in this box. My only problem is that it seems like the yellow crayon breaks easily. I have had several packages of Crayola, and the yellow always seems to break immediately upon first use.

This product is not a large box of 120 ct crayons to my child's dismay. It contains 2-48 ct boxes and 1-24 ct box of crayons. This needed to be specified on the product packaging which it is not. Since we love the Crayola crayons, we would have just purchased the 96 ct box had we known.

I LOVE crayola crayons, and as a little kid, it was one of the highlights of my year to get the 120 count crayons with the sharpener in the back, and as a poor family we could only afford them once a year. Now that I am older, i went and bought my own 120 pack to "regain my childhood". However, in this box, though it still has all 120 colors, the crayons are in three seperate boxes inside the bigger box with a crayon shaped sharpener included inside. This was not what I had as a child, where al l 120 were in one box, and when you opened a new box you were hit with that beauty and smell of a new box of crayons. I just didn't get that with this box, and it made me quite sad.

I know what you're thinking. "It's Crayola. It's crayons. What can go wrong?" Let's just say, I was very excited about getting 120 crayons from my 7-year-old for Christmas. The problem is that I was excited about getting 120 DIFFERENT crayons. What the packaging doesn't make clear is that the box contains two identical 48-packs of crayons along with a 24-pack containing the same colors, so you're getting two of 24 colors and 3 of another 24. I'm sure they're perfectly nice color s and all, but this chest didn't deliver the 120 colors my inner child was hoping for. Now, the question is...can I sneak in a return for the 96-pack without my son noticing the difference?

I bought this for my 7 year old, thinking that it was 120 different colors of crayons. Much to her surprise and mine, (on Christmas) it is 2- 48 packs and 1-24 pack of crayons. So, you get multiples of the same color! She was very disappointed. I cannot take it back because I do not have a receipt. I feel that the packaging does NOT tell you what is really inside. I would have bought the 96 count box, had I known. It has absolutely nothing on the package that states what is really in it!

I do not use the word "hate" often; but, I hate to color with any crayon that is not a Crayola. The Crayola 120 pack gives the best options of colors to use from. All other crayon brands are just wax-y knock off immitations. I am a third generation Crayola only crayon user and my daughter is a fourth generation Crayola only user!
