Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice multi-purpose low-tech machine in this high-tech world Our CD/radio/cassette machine broke and I saw this advertised and on sale at Target for $88 less our red card discount. How could you go wrong for this price? We have old record albums which hadn't been dug out in quite some time, and we still have cassettes we like so we bought this adorable old-fashioned machine. We are not connoisseurs of fine sound and our 40 year old over-played albums probably wouldn't sound great on even the most awesome sound system. We are having a great time playing the old records and they sound fine to us! Cassettes sound fine and so does the radio. Haven't tried the ipod hookup yet. As previous reviewers said, you can't hook this up to speakers. One thing to note - make sure where you are putting this has room not only above for the top to lift, but on both sides because the cassette goes in one side and also the speakers are on the front and both sides. Happy with my purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really? This thing is a joke. Overall rating: -350,000,000 stars. JUNK....save your money and put it towards something that actually works. The belt will go out on you in a few plays, the needle might as well no even exist. Whoever wrote that comment below saying it lasted them 5 years is lying. The only way this thing could last for 5 years is if you never play a single record on it or if you just stare at it. Do yourself a favor, listen to me: DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this turntable, have had it for 5 years! I love this turntable! I've had it for going on six years, and it works great. I would highly recommend this item to anyone interested in playing LP's and listening to the radio or CD's on a wonderful QUALITY budget sound system. I love the vintage look and feel, this item looks great on the shelf and the wood is beautiful and warm. I love the old-school 'turning-the-knob' technology, and the sound is excellent. My only teeny weeny complaint is that after I'd had this beauty for about 4 years, the lights went out on the tuning dial display, and I can't figure out how to fix it. But it's OK without a lighted display, if you ask me. Sometimes i put on a CD at bedtime (the turntable is in our bedroom) to soothe into sleep, and a lighted display would only be a distraction and contribute to ambiant light pollution. I love this item so much, I plan on purchasing another one soon--this time, for the living room. You can have your fancy-schmancy, status symble, expensive sound-systems: this one is just perfect for me because a, I don't need to impress anyone, and b, I love the comfy 1950's vintage look, and c, it has excellent sound quality. I highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crossley 5 in 1 entertainment center Disappointed in this. Sound is very grainy, but should have been exoected...you get what you pay for, so at $88.00, I guess I should have known better. There is no way to hook it up to real speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christmas gift for my Mother. Good Buy per her. Quick and easy setup. Does everything that it says. The line in is a nice option for listening to streaming music from a mp3 player and just wanting powered speakers. Pandora, Slacker, IHeartRadio, etc.
