I just bought this and had it shipped to my 4 year old niece who LOVES Tinkerbell. When she opened her presents on Skype... she asked excitedly, "How did you know, this is what I always wanted?" She was thrilled and well worth the smiles and love for this precious keepsake.
My daughter received this as a gift one year ago. Since I read the negative reviews of this sweet little box, I wanted to comment about it one year after receiving it. The box has been played with, dropped, music played over and over, filled to capacity, refilled, and dropped some more. The top dolls have been switched out over and over. In this year, I've never needed to replace the batteries, the top has proven quite sturdy, and it has been a fantastic and functional - because that matter s to me, as toys go - toy for my daughter to have. It is VERY worth purchasing, and will be a delight to any little girl who loves Tink and friends. Upon receipt of the trinket box, take a moment to show your child how to change out the dolls and how to use the key. It is simple enough for a 3-year-old to properly operate, so it makes a lovely little "keepsake" gift that can be played with.
my 4 yr old niece loved it. Has secret compartment just like in movie. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something for 5 yrs and under who like tinkerbell.
The piece for the fairy to stand on broke off within one day of buying it.
Bought this last year for my 4yr olds bday. The top broke off in just a few days. Took it back. Broke again a few weeks later and she hardly played with it. The novelty wear off in a short period of time.

Granddaugter opened package and was very excited. Upon turning on music box for the first time, the music box rotated at a slower speed and had a severe grinding sound. Fortunately, grandpa, is good with his hands and was able to open motor, take apart, move motor and lubricate all moving parts. So now granddaughter was really happy she could play with her toy.
