It is an endless fight
This car seat has been a pain in the butt since we got it! We have a CRV and it is really too big for the car. It will be better I think once we can turn it around but rear facing and reclined it sticks so far out that no one can ride in the passenger seat because of how far up you have to put the seat. We had a heck of a time getting in the car and secure. It is ridiculously hard to tighten the latch straps. It is also very hard to adjust the restraints for getting the baby in and out. Every time I have to pull the straps behind the seat and then pull on the tightener belt, otherwise it won't tighten properly. It has a lot of extra little clips for the straps so when I need to take it apart to clean (wish I like to do at least twice a month) it is a nightmare. I would not purchase this car seat again. PAIN IN THE BUTT.

it does the job
Easy to install. Heavy when getting in and out of vehicles. Hard to loosen the straps. The recline button is super hare to pull and adjust. I drive a new yukon and it tilts slightly. Car seat is rear facing in middle back seat. Size wise it's good. Not huge at all like most. My 13 month is in level 2 and her head hangs so bad I sit back with her to hold her head up.

This car seat did NOT function well for us! Had to return it. Do not recommend.
This car seat has a great look, but it did not function well at all. We returned it after a few weeks; so many complaints with this one. I drive an Acura MDX. This car seat has the reclining base, which seems nice, but it causes the seat to sit up high. I could not see over it when trying to check for blind spots. And my son's head would almost touch the ceiling/roof trying to get him out of it. Also, although the shoulder belts have the easy to adjust feature, it would extend too high, again couldn't see over to check for blind spots. Dangerous. The recliner itself didn't work for us when using the latch system - when we tried to recline the seat, the latches wouldn't reach our tethers in the MDX, but we did manage to get the recliner to work using the seat belt/lap belt, but even then, the recliner itself isn't very reclined, our son's head would still flop downward when he fell asleep. Very uncomfortable for him. And with the height of this seat - the seat belt/lap belt option didn't work well, the belt was in the way trying to get our son out. Also, the seat itself is very shallow, so that would cause him to sit more forward too - rather than relaxed deep in the seat. Really disliked the shallow seat. Another thing - pulling the strap to tighten the restraints was very difficult - even pulling as hard as I could would not tighten the restraints. Pretty much nothing on this car seat functioned for us. We finally bought the Eddie Bauer XRS 65 seat, and it works SO MUCH better; loving it. And it was $70 cheaper than the Deluxe. Definitely do not recommend the Deluxe 2 in 1. Loving the XRS 65.

I bought this for my 17 month old son and I absolutely love this seat! This is my second child so I've been thru many, and this one is by far my favorite. My son is rear facing in my ford fusion. I used the seat belt to install it, because LATCH is only recommended to secure up to 40 lbs including the weight of the seat (my son weighs 24 lbs). I put it on the furthest recline position, because my back seat is very angled. It only took minutes to thread the belt, buckle it, pull the shoulder strap all the way out to lock it, and then tighten. This seat does not budge even a centimeter.
I love how easy it is to get the shoulder straps to the right height. My son is off the charts for height so I feel that he'll last in this seat for quite some time. Loosening and tightening the straps is simple. They also feed off each other, meaning you'll never have one too tight and one too loose (always had that problem with his infant carrier).
The seat seems very comfortable and cushioned. Also easy to wipe down. It is average as far as weight goes, so it wouldn't be a problem to switch from one car to another. I cannot recommend this seat enough!

I was offered this car seat to keep and try out so that I could review it and I must say how HAPPY I am to have this wonderful car seat!
-The seat itself is incredibly cushioned! More so than any of the others I have looked at or bought. It feels very comfortable and thick enough that even an adult would want a seat like this.
-The seat reclines a noticeable amount, perfect for sleeping babies. I have to travel a good amount so this feature will certainly come in very handy for my 19 month old. My other car seat is a major brand name and the recline it offers is barely noticeable.
-The latch/buckle that goes between the legs is not difficult to release/push. My nails are fairly long and some other brands have hurt my nails (sometimes badly) when trying to get my little one out. This one is easy to handle.
-When moving the shoulder straps to accommodate a growing height, the handles up top by the head rest can be pushed in and pulled up so that the straps can be adjusted without having to re-thread them through the holes. This convenience makes adjusting the straps very easy and fast. It would be a huge selling point for me since I hate messing with the straps in the 1st place.
-The seat feels very safe and sturdy. I was recently in a car accident, thankfully my baby was not with me but if he was, I would feel very safe if he was riding in this car seat. The cheaper $40 car seats do their job but this car seat will make you feel assured your child is protected well.
-The head rests that go on the sides of your child`s head are very cushioned and soft while also feeling sturdy and strong.
-The seat sits up a lot higher than most other car seats, or at least compared to my previous seat. I can see him better and he seems to like it too!
-It was easy to assemble, I just opened the box and was able to easily secure it into my car. It is not incredibly heavy or complicated. Anyone could install this into their car with no problem.
-The only issue I would comment on is when adjusting the height of the shoulder straps, you kind of need 2 people so that 1 person can hold it while the other rotates the levers.
All in all, I am very excited to be the owner of this car seat. It gives me assurance that my son will be safe and comfortable while riding in it.

Wonderful Convertible Car Seat
With my ever-growing family, it seems I am always in the market for another car seat! I was provided the Eddie Bauer Deluxe 2-in-1 Convertible Car Seat to review for Target.
INSTALLATION: It's easy to install with the one-click latch system.
EASE OF USE: Very light, so it's simple for one person to move; straps can be adjusted with taking the whole things apart; the headrest is easily adjusted for height.
PRICE: With the price so affordable in the size class it is in, this is a top choice for our family.
DRAWBACKS: The seat reclines, but with some difficulty; the base is pretty bulky.
BONUS FEATURES: The cupholder keeps drinks and toys close by; material is easy to clean; can be used front or rear facing.
Both myself and my child were highly satisfied with the 2-in-1 Convertible Car Seat and are hopeful it lasts for the next little one!

Great Convertible Car Seat- I like it, as a mom to ten kids!
Great convertible car seat!! We received this Eddie Bauer Deluxe 2-in-1 Convertible Car Seat for free. Weâd been looking for a new car seat for a while, and when we received this car seat to test, we were curious what weâd like or dislike about it. I have ten children so I have a lot of experience shopping for, buying, and using car seats in the past, and it was time for a new one.
First of all, when I opened the box, I was happy to see that there was nothing to do except adjust and install it. We just had to slide it out of the box. Being a safety conscious mom, I immediately read the instruction book. In doing so, I actually learned something about my car! Compared to other instructions, I had no idea how to use LATCH or the tether system, and this one explained it precisely (combined with my vehicle manual.)
While looking it over, I could tell it was put together well. Nothing felt flimsy or fragile, and the fabric seemed to be stitched to last. It wasnât heavy, either. One complaint, which really isn't a big deal, is that the cup holder doesn't fit many of our sippy cups.
I then tried it out on both my 9 month old (to see how easy it was to adjust for a rear facing child) and then my 2 1/2 year old, who we would use it with. They both seemed to think the seat was comfortable, and my 2 year old couldnât wait for me to attach the optional cup holder. The seat seemed to support their different sized bodies equally well, and I could see how great this seat would be to use starting at birth and up to a large toddler/small child size. The adjustments were simple, and there was no rethreading of seat belts like in older or simpler seats Iâve used in the past.
It wasnât too difficult to carry into the car, and buckling it in was simple using both the one click LATCH and the tether straps included. I followed the simple steps in the booklet to make sure it was correctly situated.
The real test was getting my daughter to sit in it. She is actually able to climb into it herself and it didnât require any contortions of her shoulders or head to get her buckled. Even with a coat on, it is easy to loosen the belts and then tighten it to the appropriate level. There are many safety checks on the seat itself, both for rear and forward facing, so you can be sure to install it correctly.
Weâve used it for 10 days now, and I can say Iâve never liked a car seat more than this one. I love the peace of mind knowing it is installed correctly by checks included on the car seat itself. I am happy to see my daughter enjoying her seat and not being uncomfortable at all either when being buckled in, riding in it, or while getting out. This IS an issue with some car seats. My daughter is happy, my family is happy, and I am really happy with this car seat. I highly recommend the Eddie Bauer Deluxe 2-in-1 Convertible Car Seat for anyone looking for a convertible car seat for their little one.

Great car seat
I'll start by saying that I did not receive this car seat for free to review, although I wish I did because I would have saved a lot of money. This is the second Eddie Bauer car seat that we've purchased. I wouldn't choose any other brand. It's easy to install and I can tell it's very comfortable. We went on a road trip during the Thanksgiving holiday and baby slept for 3-long hours. It was easy to install and easy to clean. I chose this one over the least expensive one because of the recline feature.
