Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not What I expected I have to say that i am pretty disappointed in the car seat. I did a lot of research on car seats and this one had good reviews. We loved the last Eddie Bauer Car seat we had for our first two children and wanted to get another one. When we received this one we pulled it out of the box(it was just in a brown cardboard box, not like the the brand labeled ones you get when you buy it at the store)the canopy was all bent and looked flimsy. I tried Straitening it to see if it could work and it didn't. It was very hard to pull the canopy forward and back and it came off each time a tried. I was also very concerned that it did not even come with a manual or instructions. It is definitely not the car seat i was hoping for and will be returning it tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love! We love this car seat, especially with their lightweight stroller that it can hook into. We did have the base installed by Children's Hospital to insure it was installed the best it could be. We would recommend getting the extra base, that has proven to be very convenient so we can take either car. The only thing I would change is the head support. We ended up purchasing their extra head support to keep our baby's head from flopping side to side. Overall, we love it and haven't had any issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eddie Bauer Infant Seat I really like this seat. It feels secure in the car (we use the tethers) and is easy to get in and out of the base. It is easy to disassemble to clean and the cover is machine washable. My lil one is secure in the seat using the adaptive pads, the seat adjusts easy, and has a built in canopy. The negative; it is HEAVY! Also, it only fits Eddie Bauer strollers so keep that in mind when you're shopping - make sure you like the strollers cause you'll be using this seat for a while! Also, the handle is difficult to move, you really have to squeeze the release buttons hard. Overall, the seat is a winner with just some minor inconveniences.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from overheating the light and easy to assemble/adjust straps make up for the liner inside that traps heat so baby is fussy and sweaty on short rides.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned This Item I was excited to buy this carseat because it had good reviews and wasn't super tacky looking, but was pretty disappointed when I got it out of the box. The fabric is cheap feeling, the headrest feels almost inflatable and was really narrow, the sun cover makes a loud noise when you move it up and down (which would wake a light sleeper for sure) and the level was a little metal bead instead of the water bubble that I'm used to seeing on carseats resulting in a super annoying sound when moving, carrying or driving with the carseat. Oh, and I'm not sure if this is a personal preference for me or not, but when the handle is pulled forward all the way, it's still not quite enough to keep the baby in a sleeping position. It forces the baby to sit up and forward instead of remaining in a laid back, sleeping position. Not ideal for someone who is trying to let their baby sleep through the transition from your car to home or out and about. Despite this review, I'm usually pretty easy to please, but I will definitely be returning this carseat. Just wanted to spread the word to other moms out there :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm an idiot I feel bad giving this 3 stars for ease of use, because the troubles I had were my own stupid fault. I kept experiencing issues where the the carrier would not detach from the base. It happened so many times, I google searched this carrier to death to try to find people with similar issues. Nothing. The only stuff I could find on this dumb seat were accolades about how fantastic it was, awards it had won and nothing but positive reviews. "Those people are insane." I thought, "Where the heck is the recall on this dumb seat? It won't release from the darn base!" Installing the base is super simple and quick and has an easy lever to pull if you want to adjust the tilt (this is where my stupidity butts its ugly head in). The lever to pull to adjust the base tilt is conveniently located mere inches below the lever to pull to release the seat from it's base when connected and they feel identical. So, when I'd go to release the carrier from it's base, I'd inadvertently pull the wrong lever and nothing would release. Frustrated after 10-15 minutes of wrangling with the dumb seat, I would just unbuckle the whole thing and carry the carrier around with the base still attached, looking like an absolute nut job. I even went back to Target to exchange it, but the only one they had in stock had damaged packaging and I didn't want to risk having the same "problem." So I decided, I'd try installing the base differently, "Maybe if I use the included belts instead of my car seat belts, that will make a difference." It was then - when I was installing the base, I realized there was an identical feeling lever which adjusted the base tilt. Hanging my head in shame and placing my tail squarely between my legs, I finished installing the seat and got the heck out of there before anyone realized how much of an imbecile I was. I figured, I'll just wait to get home and broadcast it on a review instead. So, in summary: Car Seat - Great. Operator of Car Seat leaves some to be desired.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from There are better products out there I wanted to like this carseat, but unfortunately I found it lacking. I liked the look of the product, but that is about it. I found it very heavy compared to other carseats and not as easy to use. It was more difficult than other carseats to remove from the base, and have I mentioned that it is heavy! It was heavy without a baby in it, but once I added my baby it was almost impossible to carry around for more than a very short distance to the car from the house. Install was okay, but again, there are easier to use products. The material does clean well and does appear to be stitched together well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eddie Bauer Car Seat I am happy with the car seat. The baby is just weeks old and we had no trouble installing it in the car to bring the baby home. There was plenty of padding to hold a newborn. The harness adjusted easily and since she fell sleep, we lifted the whole seat out and just took it in the house and let her sleep! It did not appear to be too heavy to carry but then she is still tiny. We are happy it is so easy to take in and out as we will have to move it between two cars until we get a second one. I would recommend ths seat to anyone. The author of this review received a free sample of the product.
