Does not work on any batteries but energiser batteries. Energiser needs to stop selling products that have only been tested on their batteries.
This was a nice battery charger the four times that it worked, then it suddenly, simply stopped working. Now, if the display comes on at all, it flashes the entire display a few times, then goes dark. I have enough charged batteries to last a while now, so this one's going back to the store after less than a week. I might give this model another shot, since it is compact, fast, and charges both AA and AAA types, but other reviews tell me that, too, will end in disappointement.
charged the batteries from new. charger now informs me that my old rechargeable Energizer batteries should be thrown away! Yet my old charger is charging them. Not my idea of a rechargeable battery charger!
Purchased this item a few months ago with four AA batteries included. The charger rejects batteries that are fine with another charger and has now rejected the ones that came in the same pack as the charger itself. It's going in the trash tomorrow.
Says energizer batteries are bad after couple of charges. So far do not have this problem with my (much older) batteries from a competitor. So is the question is - which is defective - the charger or the batteries? Either way I am disappointed.
This doesn't seem to want to charge batteries. I bought it less than a year ago and now all of my rechargeable batteries won't charge. Seems like most people have the same problem. Won't but this again
charges not good... then it shows fully charged unplug from mains and plug it again he will start to charge again......
I bought this product because I use a lot of AAA+ batteries and it seemed to be a great solution and more cost effective to have rechargeable batteries. The first time I recharged the batteries they worked perfectly, since then only two of the batteries appear to be charging, the other two are faulty, will not charge. The two that do charge, say on the recharger that they are fully charged however don't perform well. Overall disappointed that I spent my money on a faulty product.
this product only charges aa the aaa does not work at all. the engerizer recharger is not a smart charge at all.

The visual display is great, lets me know how long I should expect them to be ready. Mine has been working great the few months I've used it. I charge my 2300 NiMH batteries wry often (once a day) as I use them in my wireless headset for gaming. This charger has been everything I expected, plus I like the informative readout. I don't use anything but Energizer batteries, as I think you get what you pay for, and they have always been the most reliable in my experience, so I wouldn't know abou t compatibility with other NiMH batteries.
