Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grandson and wife wanted this for their first baby....so THRILLED to get it! My son and daughter in law wore 2 of these out, so I did not hesitate to purchase this for my Grandson and his wife! They are thrilled!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How did I not buy this with my first child?? This carrier is a must-have for all moms. Super easy to use, lightweight, comfortable for me and baby, and gives my my hands back!! My 4-month-old son falls asleep in it almost every time. This carrier is worth every penny. I've tried Chicco and Moby and the Ergo is hands-down THE BEST!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money! I tried pretty much ALL of the "fabric wrap" carriers in the market, and NOTHING compares to the ease and comfort of this carrier. Although I used gift cards for the purchase, I believe that I would have been ok with paying the price if it was coming out of my pocket. Its worth it, just to get things done around the house when the baby is fussy. I tried the infant insert, but only ended up using the pillow part to give my son that extra lift at 3 weeks old. He is really good with keeping his head up, and the support of the carrier alone helps too. So no need to carry that bulk if not necessary. But the pillow works great on its own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact I bought this for an overseas friend with a newborn baby. I was able to fit it with its box into a suitcase due to its being lightweight & compact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from true sanity saver! I bought this for myself when my first child was about 5 months old. He was pretty fussy and hated being put down at times. I was able to go to the bathroom while carrying him in the carrier, while this helped a ton at home it also gave me freedom to get out and about. It was nice having a carrier I could use out to go for a walk around the mall and use the bathroom even eat without having to take him out. He would get so comfy and nap so I got a bit of me time. :) The fact you can carry a baby up to 45 lbs is a huge plus as well. The baby bjorn I received as a gift didn't last us as long and I love that you can carry your child on your hip and back. I am also very happy this product still looks and feels like new 4 years later for my second child.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big baby! My daughter is now 10.5 months and 23lbs! Still no problem wearing her and she LOVES IT! it's about the only time she lets me snuggle her these days and although she is a nosy girl has no problem facing me because she has so much room to look around. Thank you ergo baby!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hands free livin' I have to admit, my son did not take to the Ergo right away, but I think as soon as her realized he was close to mom and not trying to be swaddled he was okay with it. Whenever we are out and about and he needs to take a nap, I put him in the Ergo and he falls asleep. My husband will even wear it because it is a neutral color. We have used the Ergo in airports, taking walks, at BBQs, naps, etc. The best is when he sleeps in it and I can get a few things done around the house. I gave this four stars because it can be a bit tricky sometimes to clip the top clip when doing a front carry, maybe I just have small arms, I don't know. I would recommend this carrier to any mom who is starting out with baby wearing.

BabyCenter Editors' review

What you'll love:
This top-of-the-line model gets rave reviews from parents for its comfort and ease of use. It features soft cotton canvas fabric, an innovative ergonomic design, and front, back, and side carrying options. There's even a flip-up cover that lifts over babies when they fall asleep (which is often in this über-cozy carrier). Made with extra padding and a soft, 100 percent machine-washable cotton canvas, this carrier holds babies up to 45 lb. – if you're still up for carrying your baby at that size!

What to watch out for:
Unlike some other carriers, babies can't face forward in the ERGObaby, and an infant insert is required for neck support until babies are around 4 months old.

The bottom line:
The ERGObaby costs a little more than its carrier cohorts, but it continues to lead in comfort and design, making it a must-have for moms on the go.
