I purchased this Eureka model last December for my mother's budget friendly Christmas gift after reading so many positive reviews, about 200 or so at the time. She raved about how great it works and even showed me the filter and how much stuff it picks up. I decided to get one myself. Honestly, I used to hate vacuuming before,-getting tangled in cord, moving a heavy clunky vacuum-, but now it's seemingly easy to vacuum. The lighter cordless model works better than my former pricier model, and i t just makes my job of cleaning floors -with a messy toddler habits- much easier.

The person who said it didn't have any suction should have exchanged the vacuum as it is a wonderful vacuum. I've had mine since 1996 and use it every day. I have one in my bedroom and 1 in my kitchen. I have 5 hairy dogs so do alot of pet hair vacuuming. I've given this vacuum for gifts to all my relatives. They love theirs. I can't sing enough praises for this cordless vacuum. I LOVE mine. I do spray it with [Brand] every other time which keeps the filter clean. If the filters dirty it doesn' t pick up as well understandably as I have all this pet hair.

I don't think I've ever taken the time to review anything, but this little gem is so worth it! Best [$] I've ever spent! This picks up everything on my floors and carpets on a daily basis, even along edges so I only have to use my large vacuum once a week. When I first got it, I charged it for more than 24 hours because I forgot about it, and I've used it for up to 30 min. without it ever losing any power. I also love that the charging unit is separate so I don't need a large space to recharge and it's a breeze to empty the debris. If you're a dog owner, this is a must-have item!

I have bought this vaccum twic because it is great...while it lasts. It is great for wood floors and I love that it is cordless. However, it breaks very quickly. I purchased this vaccum in September, 2011 and by March, 2012 the handle had broken and the battery only lasted 5 minutes before dying. I loved it while it worked but it's really not worth it if it only lasts for 6 months. I will buy better quality next time!

I was reading everyones reviews prior to buying the Eureka 2 in 1 and none had information that addressed specifically what I was trying to figure out. I am glad I listened to people's positive feedback and purchased it anyways. First, I have a 1 bedroom apartment that is fairly large. I am not sure the exact square footage. It has wood floor throughout and tile in the bathroom and kitchen. I have an 8x8 area rug in the living room and a runner rug in the hallway leading to my bedroom. This vac uum is perfect. I was able to vacuum the entire place and still had battery power for a few minutes afterwards. I am so glad I did not purchase a normal size unit. Second, you can go to the Eureka website and purchase an extra battery and have it ready to go if you needed more than 15 minutes! Last, it is easy to assemble, easy to empty, and a great price. If your needs are similar to mine, get it!

In brief--PROS--great value, nearly 20 dollars less than other sites. came in 3 days. good suction. easy to use, cleaned 800 sq ft of ceramic tile floor in 7 minutes. storage-charger base pretty nifty. charges two batteries at once, one in the vac and one in the storage-charger base. separate setting for carpet brush. carpet brush actually works. lightweight. handle was easy to assemble. CONS-- ads show the second battery in the charger but beware, you have to buy the spare. pretty loud so wea r your earplugs. easily removed bin requires you hand-clean the filter. But as you see by the rating, I really like mine.

This is great for in-between vacuuming and quick pick-ups. I've bought several of these over the years, and they work great for about two years, then stop working--won't hold a charge. But I still replace them because they're not too expensive.

My apartment is mostly hardwood floors, but has 2 large area rugs. I wanted something at a reasonable price that would perform the basic tasks that I needed for multi-floors. This was easy to assemble and easy to use. It has 3 settings - OFF, Floor, Carpet - and is cordless, which is super convenient. I tend to shed a lot, so my hair often gets tangled on the wheel, but I simply cut along the wheel with a knife and turn on the FLOOR setting, so it's not a problem. I recommend this if you are lo oking for something at a cheap price that completes the basic vacuum tasks. It has a wall mount with a charger attached, but unfortunately my closet does not have an outlet, so this is only a nice idea.

With 3800 sf of house spread over 3 floors, I was tired of lugging my Dyson Pet up and down stairs every time I needed to vacuum up some dog fur. While the Dyson is for thorough cleaning, this little Eureka is perfect for quick in-between jobs. I also wanted it for vacuuming furniture. It worked better than the Dyson's hose on the dog fur on the sofa. You can't beat it for the price.

Have had this for a week, love it!! Easy to use, light, love that the rechargable battery is the only thing that plugs in to the wall unlike other vacuums where you have to plug the entire unit in to the wall. I used it today on my living room rug and then immediately used my [$$$] dollar Dyson after it The Dyson picked up just a little bit more. Great deal for [$$] dollars!!
