Evenflo Big Kid LX Booster Seat is rated 4.2857 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and comfortable I bought this exact seat in a different color for my daughter a year ago. We liked it so much that we went ahead and bought my other daughter the same one even though she had a perfectly good car seat. It is very lightweight, very simple to put together and the two cup holders are nice. Some may say that it doesn't have much features but the practicality of being able to move it in and out, wash it easily and it being narrow enough to fit three across my backseat minivan is great. It would definitely be good as an extra daycare/grandparent seat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Thrilled I should've read the details better. There's no LATCH strap, so on my leather seats, the car seat slides and shifts in turns. Not really happy with this at all. My son loves the lights though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a backless I just purchased two of these for my grandkids, ages 4 & 6. The 6yo has a little trouble with the seatbelt getting twisted, but resolves it. The 4yo, I buckle in. The built in lights are a great feature so the can read and play without overhead lights on. Both kids fit in this seat great, with room to grow! I did have a different brand backless from an older grandchild. I felt it wasn't as safe as one with a back with head support. I feel they are as safe as can be and comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great seat for 3 across My mom bought this seat to have for when my daughter stays with her. She kept the seat for a few months and then I took it over when I got a new nanny position and the oldest child's booster did not fit with a rear-facing convertible and my child's forward facing Radian. This seat fit even when my younger charge switched to a forward facing, slightly larger seat. We have been so pleased with this seat I am buying another one now that my child is ready for a booster full time. Pros - narrow seat that helps with fitting 3 across a sedan, cool lights, lower minimum weight limit than a lot of boosters for thin children Cons - As another reviewer mentioned the seat belt does get twisted easily when a child buckles it and it is threaded through the belt-positioner. I just buckled my charge in until he was old enough to do it without twisting it (or fix it if it was twisted). The thin design could be a con for average to bigger kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great car seat Really like this item. To my surprise and my daughter's surprise their are built in lights which are great for late night drives. Feels sturdier than the counterparts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quickly disappointed We were very excited about receiving this seat. It was easy to put together, but as soon as my son sat in it he started complaining of the seat pushing his shoulders forward. This seat is very narrow. I bought this for my 8 yo son who is small, but it was even too narrow for my 4 yo. We will be returning the seat. We were disappointed. We love the lights!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dangerous! I bought this for my 5-year-old. We used it for a week, and the seat belt continually fell out of the tracking slot. When it wasn't falling out, it was getting bunched up and stuck in the slot. We could use it safely only when I strapped him in and instructed him not to move the belt. This was very frustrating for all of us. The problem is in the design. First, the slot is too narrow. Second, the "lip" that's supposed to keep the belt secured is too small. Third, the slot opens "out," away from the chair. We traded this in for the[...] Booster, which has a much better design. The Amp's slot is much bigger, is designed more like a hook, and opens "in," which makes belt slippage much less likely.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

What it is: This would be just another high-quality, removable-back booster with all the standard bells and whistles, except it’s got a secret little stroke of genius: activity lighting on the headrest for nighttime reading and projects. Kids will enjoy being in charge of their own lights (and the buttons are pretty fun). The lights go away once you remove the back, but they could be a good incentive for keeping older children in a seat with side protection for longer.

What to watch out for: When the back is pulled to its full height, it loses the lumbar support: Your child’s lower back will be pressed against bare plastic.
