Evenflo Triumph LX Convertible Car Seat is rated 4.3958 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price! Relatively easy to get baby in and out. I read issues concerning moving this from car to car, but thanks to the reasonable price, we got one for each car. It is a little big, but we have SUVs/van, so it is a non-issue for us. One major selling point was the sliding harness (instead of re-thread)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad fabric We bought this car seat for our son about 6 months ago. While it looked nice when we first installed it, within a few weeks I started to notice pulls in the fabric around his legs. My son didn't like to wear shoes, so can't be blamed on velcro. In the past couple of weeks the pulling and wearing has begun to extend down the seat to where his bottom sits. this doesn't affect the safety of the seat, but my son will be in this seat for abother few years, and it doesn't look as nice as I want my child's car seat to look. Also at first I liked the "dial down" feature to tighten the straps, I would seriously reconsider buying another. I don't think it tightens tight enough without using a lot of effort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lousy fabric I bought this about 6 mos ago. This was the third Triumph I've purchased over the past 6yrs. I love the seats, & updates over the years have made it easier to use. With this incarnation, I find the installation more difficult than I had expected in my minivan. That was easy to get over, & I mostly attribute the difficulty to the vehicle. That said, 6mos in & the fabric looks terrible. Pulls all over the place, especially where my daughter's feet are. The funny thing? She's never worn outdoor shoes in it. At 17 mos, she's only ever worn soft leather (Robeez type) shoes, so it's not like her shoes are snagging the seat. It's just not a hard-wearing fabric, which is what I expect in car seats. I'm very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome seat! I bouth this when my son hit 7 months. He hated his infant carrier (graco click connect 30) but he loves this seat. Hes comfortable. Every time he gets in this seat he naps. When we take long car rides, he doesnt complain. His back doesnt sweat either. Hes a happy baby in this seat and when hes happy, im happy! I love the strap tighten feature and the heat wicking is great too. The price definitely work!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Overall. One annoyance away from excellent. Though I've had the seat for a year, I just installed it as my child is now old/heavy/tall enough for it. Simple to install. Child is comfortable and it is easy to buckle. Tightening the straps with the turn know system is difficult in the rear facing position. I imagine that it will be easier once facing forward as access to the knobs will be better. Loosening the straps seems more difficult than it should be, but this could be user error. If not for the difficulty tightening the straps, then I would've rated the seat excellent overall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Horrible cover I love this car seat after having a accident my Insurence company made me replace my older one . so i chose to get one as close to the old one as possible so I got this one love it but the cover dose not wear well the light gray snags horrible with in one day of her in it the buckles on her shoes snagged it all up. I love everything else about this seat i just wish i could get a replace cover .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall satisfied but installation issues I did a lot of research on convertible car seats. My 6 month old has a Chicco infant seat and she sweats horribly, so this seat seemed like a good deal for the cost, especially with the Outlast fabric. So, here is my review. ( I ended up calling Evenflo today and they are sending a replacement pad. Hopefully the new one holds up better) Today my daughter rode in it for the 2nd time, and I noticed the stitching in the fabric by her feet is already fraying. It's actually sticking out maybe an inch in one spot and another spot is starting. It doesn't stretch well over the carseat where the feet are either. When installing rear facing, the fabric moves around so much, you have to keep trying to move things around to keep it in place. Just seems like it should be more durable (but as mentioned in other reviews, that could be why it is more affordable than the other seat with Outlast fabric). Installing was kind of a headache. I have an older mini van (2006), and installing this thing rear facing has been kind of a headache. I am short (4'11"), and putting it behind my drivers seat rear facing is IMPOSSIBLE. The car seat hits the driver seat and cannot be installed at the proper angle, unless I move my seat up a few inches. I have it installed on the passenger side, and it seems to fit ok. We have to use a pool noodle or towel under the seat to keep it at the correct angle. It's a pain in the butt having to climb in the van to put her in the seat (I have the bench seats), but it's not the worst. I would for sure prefer to be able to install the seat behind the driver seat. Other viewers stated that the knob to tighten the belt was pushed hard against the seat. I found this happening to me as well. Also, to get to the button to loosen the belt, I have to squeeze my fingers between the car seat and vehicle seat to get my finger in to push the button. I am able to turn the knob fairly easy though to tighten it. If the know was not there, there would be no way for me to tighten the belts because of not being able to get my finger in to even loosen them. Overall, I feel like the seat isn't too bad, but the fabric quality sure isn't high standards, but that's probably why the seat is so affordable. The fact that it has the Outlast fabric is what sold us on this seat, along with affordability. I do like the knobs to tighten as well. Just takes a bit getting used to the fact that it tightens around the legs and not the shoulders. Once you get the hang of it, it seems good. My daughter hasn't sweat at all in the seat yet, so the Outlast fabric has been living up to what they say. Keep in mind, that my daughter was only in this seat twice so far, so things could change, but within 5 minutes in her Chicco, her back and hair were drenched in sweat! I'm sure once we turn it front facing, the installation troubles will go away as well. So, if you are looking for something affordable and something to help with heat regulation, I would for sure recommend it! Evenflo customer service was excellent with me as well when I called about the threading coming out. They are sending me a new one to replace this one. I just hope that the new one holds up better than this first one. I should also note, that I had to drive an hour to a store to get this one. (I didn't want to order it and end up dissatisfied, so I wanted to see it in person before purchasing.) Both boxes at the store looked as if they were opened, but the seat seemed in great shape, so we purchased it. Not sure if it was a return or just the box, but I'm thinking this could be a reason about the fraying fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Convertible Car Seat I looked at many convertible car seats online and in four different stores before making a decision. In the end, this was by far the BEST choice! I was looking for safety, comfort, simple and easy. This car seat has ALL of those qualities. It is easy to install both rear facing and front facing and the strap adjustment is so simple. It even has a feature to hold the buckles, so you are not "fishing" for them underneath the baby/child when buckling the baby/child in. For price comparison, I would consider this very reasonable, especially for the quality. The color scheme is also very nice. We liked this car seat so much that we purchased two of them. As a Grandmother, this was just what I was looking for because it is so simple to install and use plus it is a comfortable and safe seat for the baby/child. The other car seat was purchased for the baby's parents. They are also very pleased with this convertible car seat.
