These are great towels. We are very picky about towels, and these may be the best we have ever had. These are super soft but strong, a nice medium weight, and very absorbent. We got the deep green color, called morning sage, which is not shown here, but they have them in the stores. Unlike the Thomas OBrien towels from the past, the Fieldcrest towels have minimal lint balls after wash and dry. There will always be some because they are soft towels, and what you see is simply what did not get ca ught in the lint trap of the dryer. These are much nicer than the new model Thomas Obrien towels which are not as soft as the ones from last year.. [...]
I am a self-admitted Towel Snob. I like a towel to be absorbent, its designated purpose, soft, and fluffy. These have been thru the wash 3 times and they get SOFTER each time! They are just the right size and weight- not too big and heavy like some luxury towels, they have the same thickness on both sides, unlike some towels that have big loops on one side and tiny ones on the other side, and they just feel good against your skin. Love 'em!
I purchased these towels in aquamarine, brought them home and washed them once. When they came out of the dryer they were covered in yellow spots! The dye had leached out and turned my white towels blue. When I tried to return them I wasn't able to because I had washed them. How would I have known they were defective without washing them? Ridiculous.
I have been "changing out" my towels for 2-3 years now, little by little. But when I found this Fieldcrest Towel, I was in Heaven.great size, thick,luxury,washed well. A few weeks ago I picked up 2 more, couldn't resist. I am so disappointed, I now see this new towel has a different VN [...], also has no more thickness,no more absorbency,no more luxury. [...]
Cotton feels so good! Very thirsty towel...and adds to color in the bathroom. You feel dry and not damp using these towels.
I bought 6 blue towels on sale for 14.00 in store. I was hesitant with spending so much, but they claimed to be "Benzoyl Peroxide Safe." I've bought colored towels in the past, all for them to be ruined with bleach spots from benzoyl peroxide in acne products I use. I was happy to find towels that wouldn't get bleached. I've used the towels for 2 days and they already have bleach spots. I'm unable to return them since I removed the tags, so they could be washed before use. [...]
My husband and I been looking for new towels, and I got a couple of these to try out. We've been really happy with them. Great value for money, great quality. I've used other luxury towels from [...] and [...], and I think these are just as nice. We'll be getting more of them!
We received these two years ago as a wedding gift, and they have held up well. They do get the pulled strings, but they haven't faded--I have a light aqua color-- and they are still super soft and absorbent. They do take some time to dry, in fact! I think they are an excellent value for what you pay. Not sure if I'd purchase them for guests due to the aesthetics of the pulled strings here and there, but I definitely recommend them for daily use!
These towels hold up and are super soft. Worth the investment to upgrade over the standard less expensive brands.

Overall I give this two stars because it has great style but poor quality. I purchased Navy Blue and love the color. However, these towels have picked threads on them constantly. It appears that the cotton yarns are not carded or pre twisted enough or that the weave is just not as compact letting the loops pull very easily. You really get what you pay for here. I would recommend getting a better quality towel then this. Also after only a few cold washes the Navy has already substantially fade d.
