Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super cute rocker - kids are entranced! I bought this because I love the idea of something that can last more than a few months - I have twins so having things to keep the babies occupied and safe is really important. I put it together today - reasonably straight forward just needed a phillips head screwdriver. Took about half an hour. Pay attention to which way the screws go in as I had them back to front to start with. It takes one D battery which is also easy to install. The vibration is very strong - it made things rattle on the coffee table through vibrations transferred through the floor! The monkeys are very close to the babies faces when they swing but this seems to entrance the babies - they took turns and happily spent over an hour in it. It is easy to rock - they are able to rock themselves just by moving their legs (they're 5 1/2 months now). I am going to get another one so they can both be in one at the same time. It goes pretty flat for infant naps and it can be made stationary for feeding. I would definitely get this for a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! We love this seat. It had the same recline and big seat that the rock and play has, but it lasts so much longer! We used it as a place to nap as a newborn, a bouncy/rocking seat, play seat, feeding seat (sometimes), and an older child's rocking chair (up to 40 pounds!). I would definitely save the money and purchase something like this again over the rock and play. This seat is very sturdy and lasts for years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Vibrate broke after one month Our child loved this until the vibrate function broke. Now he'll only sit in it for a minute or two. Otherwise seems to be holding up well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A useful little chair After our own great experience with these little chairs, they have become our go-to baby shower gift. There is a little kick stand that keeps the chair steady and slightly tipped back when you don't want it to rock. This is the perfect position for a baby's little cat-naps and for spoon feeding. Flip the kick stand back (as seen in the product picture), and it's a little rocker that you can easily rock with your foot. The chair has a little vibrator motor that runs on batteries, which seems to calm a fussy baby. As the baby becomes a toddler, this will be a favorite little rocking chair. (A stopper at the back of the rocker prevents tipping backward.) The cover comes off for washing, and it comes out nicely. The chair is very well-made, and our experience is that it is very useful for three or four years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! Love this for my 4 month old! We had received one of the bouncers as a shower gift but my 4 month was already growing out of it (too long and big, the seat was pushed way down when my son was in it) so ordered this after trying out a similar one at a friends house. My son loves it. He can rock it by his kicking and he loves grabbing at the the cute little monkeys. Just wish that it made music and had lights like the bouncer did too. But I love how sturdy this is and that he'll be able to use it for a long time. My 2 year old nephew was even able to use it when he was here! Wish I had just put this item on my registry!

What it is
Versatility is the best thing about Fisher-Price's Infant-to-Toddler Rocker. You can stabilize the rocker in a nearly horizontal position to make it safe and secure for infants, then easily convert it to a rocking seat for children up to 40 pounds. Some parents don't appreciate the seat's vibrant patterns and colors, but babies seem to enjoy the brightly colored animal faces. And though this seat may not soothe as effectively as a baby swing, the combination of the baby-powered rocking motion and gentle vibrations may make this a happy napping spot. Plus, it's portable: The rocker is light enough to move with one hand while carrying your baby. (Never carry the rocker with your baby strapped inside.)

What to watch out for
The seat takes about 25 minutes to set up and feels a little rickety, even when screwed together tightly. For this price, it should be more solid.
