What it is
Designed to safely cradle babies and toddlers while bathing, the Fisher-Price Penguin Pal tub stands up to bath time admirably. It fits snugly onto a kitchen sink (single or double), or sits sturdily in a full-size bathtub or on the bathroom floor. The penguin face at the back of the tub doubles as padding to keep your little one comfortable. When your baby's really small, you'll appreciate the snap-in insert that keeps infants from sliding down as they're being bathed. Once your child is bigger and able to sit up, just remove the insert and keep using the tub through toddlerhood.

A few more thoughtful features: A drain at the bottom of the tub makes cleanup a cinch, the penguin's "feet" detach and become fun water toys, and Fisher-Price includes a spray bottle with a soft, gentle spray that's helpful for washing your baby's hair. Finally, the thing is actually pretty cute, not a given for utilitarian baby baths.

What to watch out for
An infant insert is no substitute for a watchful parent: Never leave your baby unattended in even an inch of water. Also, this isn't the most comfy tub for newborns – it lacks a baby hammock or sponge for your child to rest on – so you may want to line it with a folded towel when your baby is tiny.
