The Fighter plane of the GI Joe team has arrived.The original Skystriker came out back in 1983.This is a great recreation of this iconic vehicle.Modeled atter the f-14 tomcat this is the jet seen in the GI joe cartoon.The only differece is its now a single seater.Still one of the best planes ever.
This jet is an all around win for your Joe forces! [..] If you're planning to give them to your children (like you should) they will have a blast as is! Also please note the stickers take about 15 minutes to apply?

[..........] This toy is based on the real-life (now retired) F-14 Tomcat. The Sky Striker offers variable swept wings, working landing gear that is directly coupled with the swept wing lever, two detailed engines, six long-rang air-to-air missiles, and a whole lot of awesome imaginative combat. This version only has room for one pilot/figure (compared to the two pilots in the 1983 version) but the ejection seat and heads up display and HOTAS is better detailed in this re-release. The cockpit u nhooks from the front and has an easily liftable hinge that will pop off if over stressed and not break.I was never as fortunate as my other friends to get a Sky Striker back in the day and i have waited 27+ years for this thing. The wait was worth it. it is a BIG plane. Approx 23" in length,with a wingspan when fully extended of approx 22". the missiles that come with it have a tendency to fall off quite easily, [.............], but that's ok, this will be mainly a display piece, however if my kids one day get a hold of it, i think these might be lost easily. [...........] Assembly is fairly simple: [...........] There are a couple of sticker options out of the box, either blue/red stripes, or yellow black, and you have the choice of tail art. Sticker application takes 15-20 minutes due to the shear number of "NO STEP" stickers to be placed all over the wings. I'm stoked that Hasbro re-released this classic toy, and it has brought me a smile everytime i look at it, [.............] It's decently durable, the wing pieces are meant to pop off so the main body doesn't break during an accidental drop. And the missiles are decently molded with no kibble, although i found them to be a little loose.Overall, for all the nostalgic GI Joe fans, I give it a 5 out 5 stars.For the parent looking for a cool play toy: 4/5 (easy to lose the missile parts, kid might complain about wings popping off, the price might be a little high for just plastic, but if you think about it, a Hasbro Star Wars toy of the same size is usually $10-15 more) [..........]
