Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stop, save yourself some money!! I thought I'd save some money because I didn't need high end speakers, but this was a mistake. I get very little volume and sound isn't clean. Lot of noise that isn't there when I plug headphones into computer. Also, no mic hookup so I have to run an extender from the back of the computer if I want to hook one up. The way I see it, the cost of these are just added on to a better set, making it more expensive to get the sound I want.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Messed with success I bought a pair of these about three years ago and worked great. But since then they have changed the port jack and the quality now sucks. Now you have to plug the speakers into the wall, while my old version just plugs straight into my laptop. My old beat up speakers sound better than the new ones. (These sound fuzzy and hollow.) Going to go take these back. (The photo provided is old. They no longer have the logo on the right hand speaker. I know that doesn't matter but its proof that they changed a couple things.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You get what you paid for Sound quality is terrible. Reminded me of those tiny battery operated speakers you'd connect to old MP3 players. Sound is very scratchy and muted. I'm returning them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied I have had theses speakers for at least 4 years and have been very satisfied with them. I use them in my classroom. They are easy to use, lightweight, and inexpensive. It's true that you get what you pay for but these are definitely worth their price. I am so satisfied that I am buying these exact speakers again because one of my students broke the other ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You do get what you pay for.... but I was not looking for high end speakers when I stumbled upon these GE speakers. I usually use my Sennheiser headphones but occasionally need to use speakers when the grandkids come over and want to play on the computer. I wanted something that had decent sound quality, an on off button, a volume button, a small footprint and a headphone jack. These clicked all the boxes. I had already checked out other speakers under 200 dollars but none met all of my criteria. I was not expecting much when I brought the GE speakers home. Afterall, you do get what you pay for and what I paid for these was far less than what I expected to have to pay. But when I ran them through their paces I was pleasantly surprised at what I heard. Oh sure, the sound is nowhere near high end but it was decent and clear. Volume control and on off switch worked flawlessly as did the headphone jack. These speakers will never replace my Sennheisers but if you are looking for something that will not break the budget and sound decent, consider these speakers. I am glad I did.... so glad, that I am going to buy a second and maybe a third set so I will have backups for the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I have owned 2 pairs of these speakers. They are a great price and I think that they sound great too. I use these with my android phone. My issue is that on both pairs the wiring has come apart near the adapter that you plug into your device. When it happened to the first pair I thought that maybe it was just a defect but now it has happened to the 2nd pair as well. The speakers don't get moved around at all. They stay on my desk. I'm going to spend a little more on the replacement pair and hopefully this won't happen on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I'm a music junkie and I've had these speakers for about 3-4 years now and they still work great. My music sounds good coming out of them, the sound is good and it even works with my iPod touch. So I believe it's a good buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okey kind of i bought these speakers about nine months ago they have slightly poor sound quality after about three months the right speaker started only working if you turned the plug around in the jack a little they still work and they did only cost me [$] bucks so its not a horible buy but not great either worth the money if you don't care much about sound quality if all you need are some speakers so that you don't always need to use your headphones they are okay but if you are like me an audiophile you should spend more money for better speakers TIP if you turn down the speakers volume and turn up the computer or whatever than the sound is better
