Honeywell Evaporative Cool Mist Humidifier is rated 4.04 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great! So far so good. We've had this humidifier for just over a month. I had rinsed out and squeezed out the filter. Big mistake. It ended up stretching it out/breaking it down too much and it didn't stand up in the humidifier anymore, so the humidifier wouldn't work properly. I had to purchase a new filter far too soon. Other than that, I am not sure how long the filter will actually last though it is suppose to go for 1-2 months. Easy to fill and use!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too shabby I think it is working well, but it's definitely a case of getting what you pay for. I went the inexpensive route. It's louder than I would like.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple fill; expensive upkeep; reputable company This easily filled (one gallon of water) evaporative humidifier Model HCM-710 Series is this purchaser's second choice where a different company's (V) highly rated model would have been preferred, but is not carried here. The wicking filters are an expensive additional cost as are purchased bacteriostat and mineral scale preventives. The approved additives do help the filter last longer than a month. However, this is the case with other evaporative humidifiers as well. Alternatively, one can use vinegar to descale and bleach to remove bacteria; one can use distilled water if you have hard water. The white noise sound on high doesn't disturb this purchaser. The replacement filter is HAC-504AW or filter A. Unfortunately, the humidifier does not shut off when empty. It will initially use more water until the space (its carpeting and furniture) is humidified, then the amount of water used will decrease. It is a relief for a person's dry, itchy winter skin to get this humidified air. Keep in mind the size of the space for which this is designed. Honeywell is a good company, so reliable performance is expected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Night light It works well. I wish it was more powerful. But the major downside is that it glows. There's a light on the inside and it lights up the room at night. I'm one that likes to sleep in the dark, so its basically a night light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased 2 for Our House! These are GREAT! So easy to fill. The filter that comes with them lasted me a few months, flipping it regularly. I flipped it because the top gets dried out and a little crusty. We purchased new filters and they seem to be a little better quality so I'm hoping it lasts a little bit longer. On low it's whisper quiet. On high you can hear it but it's not awful. We liked the first one so much we ordered a second.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It is impractical, and it is noisy. It is impractical, and it is noisy. If I can, I will return it.
