Rated 2 out of 5 by from Being Cordless Was Only Real Advantage For Me My husband wanted to surprise me with purchasing a new vacuum. The main keys were something leaner, more lightweight and cordless. We own three Dysons, and the suction power is amazing...but having narrow areas, eight pets and a few outlets which don't work, it was difficult for me to use the Dyson, as it is heavy and bulky (at least the ones we own)...not to mention the cord and thus worrying about the pets chewing it whilst I vacuum. So, we went to Target and purchased the Hoover Air Cordless. I was excited because of the obvious--being cordless would really make my life easier, not having to worry about finding an outlet to plug in, but also the pet aspect. When I first tried it, I was a wee bit disappointed, but really wanted to give it a chance. I decided to keep the vacuum, as the cordless aspect was so appealing to me (not to mention how lightweight it is). Additionally, the vacuum swiveled quite well, and could lay flat to go under beds, for example. However, I came to find the vacuum was very disappointing with regards to two main things: (1) When I would move the vacuum forward, the base would bump up and down, and yet we have very flat carpeting. There is nothing to our carpeting which would harbor or induce this result. It was very annoying having this constantly occur as I'd vacuum, especially considering I vacuum three times a day, seven days a week! (2) The vacuum constantly got clogged, and I would have to stop and take the thing apart, trying to get the stuff out. I spent more time stopping and having to unclog the vacuum, than I did actually vacuuming. Granted, some of the things I vacuumed up were "chunkier" things, but it would even clog with tiny things. The passageway to the cylinder where the trash collects, is so tiny and narrow that it's expected to get clogged by almost anything. I tested it on so many things, and almost every time, it would clog within 10-20 seconds. It was ridiculous. I simply could not get my work done with this vacuum. My husband ended up buying me a much cheaper shop vac, and ironically I end up just using that on a regular basis--works ten times better. This vacuum is just not worth it to me. It rarely gets used, and the only reason I bother using, it is out of guilt that my husband spent the money. I cannot return it, as it's been used already, so I am stuck with it. 'Tis a shame, as I was really wanting to love this vacuum...but alas, I cannot lie: It just needs a lot of adjustments to be worth the money it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR -BUY THIS AND SET YOURSELF FREE This is my SECOND one! for second home. It is strong and so light. So easy. Each battery lasts a very long time, good for a few days' large area vacuuming. I have pet birds, cats and a dog, so LOTS of fur, bird seed, tracked in dirt and sand. It automatically adjusts from flat floor to all types of carpet. I have had many types of vacuums from Kirby to Miele -- you name it. This does a great job. The only area for future improvement would be in the attachments. The wand is not very long and attaches in a way that could be improved upon. I would like a smaller head for getting into crevices as well. HOWEVER, I have my Shopvac for that and handhelds. This is too nice to use in the basement, and this vacuum does get into tight kitchen corners and suck up the dirt without needing attachments. The attachments are fine for doing the sofa. Also the canister is easy to remove and dump, and there is an air filter that is easy to remove and clean; they recommend you do it every 6 times (wash it). Even with all the dirt on my floors, I think that is too frequently. It comes with 2 batteries, very heavy duty, and a charger, that I keep in my laundry room under a chair, so no waiting for anything to charge up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice CORDLESS vac! I probably would not have given a cordless vacuum a second thought, but I received this model in order to provide my opinion for this review. PROs: I found this cordless vacuum very easy to assemble and use. It was very intuitive and did not require instructions as the handle simply snapped into the base. This vac has TWO batteries and it is very easy to tell the charging status when in the charger, due to the LED indicators. The battery kept a charger after some moderate use and then using again a few days later. This is a nice, lightweight vacuum and it also has a nice swivel/pivot feature that made it easy to use. It had a very bright LED light that lights up the area. It does not take up a lot of space, and can easily maneuver under furniture edges. I love the separate, dual switches for the power and the brush, and they are easy to reach. The brush is powerful, and starts and stops right away and without hesitation. The instruction book was easy to read and user friendly. Noise is on the quiet side. CONS: The attachments seemed too small to me. Using attachments was not very intuitive, but was the only thing I had to break out the user manual for. Suction could be stronger. Overall, a good vacuum with a powerful brush. It was very convenient to just grab this vacuum for minor cleaning or regular use. It does not take up a lot of space and did a good job overall. It was nice to have a good vacuum that was not tied to the wall with a cord and did not take up a lot of space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Cordless Vacuum Easy to Maneuver Overall, I loved this vacuum. It has several desirable features and surprised me in its functionality. The highlights are its light weight and ease of movement while doing a good job picking up dirt and debris. I did receive the unit as a free sample for this review. ASSEMBLY It arrived with very little assembly needed. Instructions were clear but not needed. BATTERY Two batteries come with the unit. This is nice as you can always have a fully charged one on hand. Once charged they lasted a very long time. I used the unit daily on my hardwood floors for several days before I needed to change the battery. PICK UP I have used cordless units before and therefore had pretty low expectations for this one. While it does not have the suction of my corded, much larger and heavier unit, it surprised me greatly. My favorite use for it was for my hardwood floors and bath tile areas. It worked fabulous, and was much easier and faster than using a broom. I had no trouble picking up all the dirt and debris my hubby and 3 kids left behind. I kept the brush rotating even when on hardwoods, but did not experience the debris flicking out across the floor with every step. It works well. I could see the dirt fill up the canister. I used it in the brush off position also, but thought it did a better job with the roller brush on. I did use the vacuum on carpet as well. On longer pile the unit and brushes sounded more strained. On shorter pile or rugs it picked up debris pretty well. I do not think it has the power to deeply clean carpet, but for a quick, intermittent cleaning it was great. My carpets looked clean and had that just vacuumed look. WEIGHT and MOBILITY This unit is incredibly light weight. On my scale it weighed almost 9 lbs. including the battery. The handle made it easy to carry upstairs. My 10, 7 and 5 year old could all maneuver it well without straining or pulling it over. My mother took it for a spin through my house and thought it a great weight for someone young or old who does not want to handle heavier, clunky uprights. My FAVORITE FEATURE was how easily I could steer it under cabinets. The design allows it to be very snake like in movement with little effort from me, and it gets right up to the edge without requiring a switch to the tools. I really LOVED this feature. See posted video. I especially liked this in the kitchen because I could get crumbs that found their way under the cabinet near the baseboards. TOOLS It comes with two tools, a small brush and edger. They attach quickly after pulling out the wand handle and work well for the car, crevices, blinds and windowsills. Like most tools that attach to vacuums, they disappear when little people find them. When they are not being used as a sword they fit nicely on the side of the canister. Another nice feature is if you are using the brush there is no need to take the tools apart. They stack together and can be used that way. If only the edger is wanted you slide the brush off first. LOOK and BUTTONS The color combination is pleasing to the eye grey and blue. The power and brush on off buttons do not scream out at you, so are not obvious at first, but once found, its easy to see that the designers made all the function buttons on, off, empty canister, disconnect wand, etc. all the same blue. The light was a great help. Its bright and helps under the furniture. It was very helpful in finding all the shards of glass in my bathroom when I broke a perfume bottle the other night. IMPROVEMENT I would like to have a rubber bumper around the edges to protect furniture and cabinets. Its so easy to push that it would not take much to nick edges. Stronger suction would always be a plus. For our busy household a stronger vacuum will still be needed for deeper carpet cleaning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hoover Air Ultra Lite Bagless Upright Vacuum - 2.0 - LOVE this! I received this vacuum free for posting my review of the product. I have used many varieties of upright vacuums, but never a cordless product. I was VERY impressed. The vacuum parts snapped right together in just a couple minutes. The battery (it comes with 2) was already charged so I was able to turn it on and begin working. I LOVE the swivel handle, the location of the ON button (up high by the handle), the fact that this vacuum can move around and under any piece of furniture, has a light on the front for you to better see what you might be missing, and how light it is to carry and push. I was able to vacuum my entire condo using my LEFT hand (I am right-handed)- it was almost as if the vacuum was pulling me along to keep up! I gave my husband a chance to test it out and he was also very impressed with its maneuverability and great suction. I can honestly recommend this product for anyone in the market for a light, cordless upright vacuum. I do not miss the cord AT ALL!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong Vacuum. And It's Cordless. I received this vacuum to evaluate and test. I did not know what to expect from a cordless upright vacuum. I was thoroughly impressed. The suction power was as good a a corded vacuum. It was light and easy to maneuver. The best part was no cord! You can go anywhere in the house and don't have to worry about dragging the cord or finding an outlet. Made vacuuming the stairs a breeze. Also took it out and vacuumed the cars. Super easy. The battery life was great as I never ran it down after a lot of use. A little pricey for the cordless feature, but nevertheless a great vacuum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I received a free sample of this vacuum cleaner to use for this review. First off the assembly to this vacuum was incredibly easy. As soon as you open the packaging the instructions are directly on the box. No need to read through the manual because of this. Assembly took less than five minutes. First thing I noticed was how light this vacuum cleaner is. It maneuvers like a dream. You want to turn into a hard corner All you have to do is move your wrist Probably the best feature of course is that it is cordless. No tangling yourself on cords no having to unplug and plug the cord from room to room. The vacuum comes with two lithium batteries so youre able to use one while the other one charges. On a full charge I was able to vacuum my 1000 square foot apartment one time and a half. The battery gave out on me halfway through my second attempt. It wasnt a nuisance because I had a second battery ready to go. If youre vacuuming from carpet to tile like I was all you have to do is press a button and it will activate the brush for carpets. The brush did not work well on a shaggy like rug that I have. It would stop working once I tried my rug. If this were improved it would be the almost perfect vacuum. It comes with a dual brush for upholstery and tight spots so no having to switch out different tools. Another handy feature is that it has a light so if youre wanting to vacuum in a not so well lit room you have that light to help you see whats ahead of the vacuum. Overall I really liked this vacuum cleaner and would recommend it to anybody looking for a lightweight vacuum cleaner that can handle carpet hardwood tile etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Vacuum I received this cordless vacuum as a test product to review. Upon opening the packaging which was...robust packaging...to say the least. I could already see the quality of the vacuum which came with TWO lithium batteries and a charger. I did not even need to read the instructions except to look to see what tools it came with...and it was missing the brush attachment end piece. My other HOOVER had compatible attachments though so I used those. Within a couple minutes I was testing the vacuum. I took a before and after pic of the stairs carpeting. It was very dramatic. I used the head for the stairs and it got very close to each corner and got up pet hair fine dirt and lots of other debris. I was very impressed. It is neat to see the debris that gets inhaled up in the chamber there is no doubt that this cleans better than my 12 yr old Hoover vac that I have been using for so long. The hose retracts and is made of a soft space age style material. The retracting feature is pretty neat. And the transparent hose makes it easy to see any clog. I used this product to vacuum up dirt that the kids tracked in kitty litter on the floor and even on the hard concrete floor all performed very well. There is nothing I would change about this vac except to have the little brush attachment.
