We have an 8 cube itso system set up for our 18 month old daughters play room area. The cubes are very sturdy and hold up well to a toddler. The doors are not of the same materials. They are thinner and much more flimsy. They were very hard to get on the first time, but they come off very easily. My toddler has ripped the doors off a few times and I've had to adjust the little metal rod that holds them on because it bent. They also don't stay shut very well. They pop open on their own when no o ne is even near them. That being said, we've had the doors for months and although I have had to put them back on a few times, they are still staying on for the most part and have not broken.

If you just want to hide what's inside and you won't be opening it all the time, then it will serve it's purpose. I purchased this itso system for my daughter's room and she had to have a couple of the doors. I showed her how to carefully make sure they close correctly, otherwise I suspect they will warp. They look good and she likes being able to write messages on them. I just wish the durability and fit was better.

Not the best itso product...

First of all, I really like the plastic storage itso line (cubes, shelves, bins), however this door is made of a different plastic than the cube (a flexible, more rubber-like plastic) and the shelves (a more rigid, texturized plastic)--the door is more "breakable" looking (thin and slick, more like a crack-able melamine plastic), and I think the "write-board" angle is more of a gimmick to account for the cheaper/flimsier plastic material.I bought two of these to go onto cube s for a 3/4-bath--I was looking to store towels/toiletries in the cubes, but wanted something to hide the clutter. Since the fabric bins are made of a cardboard-like material, I could not use them in a high-humidity area. The first door was easy to install, however it did not close "square"--you had to kind of wedge in the one corner. I tried the same door on a different cube and it would not close completely at all--the cube seemed almost too short in one corner.I was able to get the other door installed and closing fairly easy on one of the cubes (I still need to wedge one corner to close it completely). So, if you have trouble initially, and have multiple cubes, your best bet is to swap the door around until you get a cube that fits.As for the door operation, there are 2 clips that attach to the inside of the cube (you can mount the door to open from the right or left). The handle has a clip that will latch onto the inside of the cube, preventing the door from opening on its own (it is a snug fit, however you can pull/close the door open without moving the entire unit once there is a little weight in it). The side mount clips are flush enough that you can still use the wide trays, the shelf, and/or the bins in the cube without interference from the door--plenty of clearance. If itso would have sold large plastic bins (the size of the large fabric ones), I would not have bought the door. However, since my requirement was to hide clutter in a high-humidity area, in the end, I kept one door and returned the other. For the price, however, it's not a bad purchase.
