We wanted a baby carrier that we could afford -- hello Infantino. The price is right, and the carrier is fantastic. At first, this thing can seem overwhelming -- it does really feel like there are straps everywhere. In actuality, though, it only has three straps: one for each shoulder and one that goes around the waist. My son is only 2 weeks old, so I'm wearing him in the front. The clasp on the shoulder straps is actually up high enough that I can reach it to hook/unhook it while I'm wearing t he carrier, just below the base of my neck. The body of the carrier also has convenient openings at the top, right where the body connects to the shoulder straps. This allows Mom or Dad to unhook the top of the body to put your baby in more easily, then snap the body closed to carry him or her securely. When your baby is facing you there is plenty of open body space to allow for feedings or just the smell of the parent, which makes being carried comforting for baby. It's a very well-designed, common sense carrier that isn't cost prohibitive. It's comfortable and easy to use, very lightweight, and most importantly, my baby totally loves being in it.

I received this at my baby shower and was excited to try it out. When my little one was finally big enough to fit in it, I was disappointed because it didn't fit me. I am 5'2" and 105 pounds. This carrier is huge on me. I was so frustrated when I was trying to use it because the straps were so long and I couldn't reach the back to snap it closed. This carrier is so difficult I only used it once. My husband uses it, but it still takes him awhile to get in the stupid thing because of a ll the latches. It is annoying! If you are petite don't bother buying this carrier.

At first it seems like a lot of straps but once you put it on it is no longer a mystery. To the people who were completely overwhelmed and gave up, you gave up too soon. My husband is 6 feet 2 inches 250 lbs and I am 5 feet 7 inches 129 lbs and we have no problem adjusting and readjusting when taking turns with the carrier. Our daughter always falls asleep in it when we are walking. As for the people who said their neck and back hurt after wearing it...it is not the carrier but the fact that yo u are hanging weight from a part of your body where it normally wouldn't be. Try strapping a rock to your chest and walk around. It's not normal. Therefore you need to build up strength. Ofcourse you should always consult your doctor first because if you have underlying problems like herniated disc or sciatica then you will never condition yourself and may in fact hurt yourself. And you can't blame it on the carrier!

I've used quite a few of the reasonably priced baby carriers and was beginning to think that none were for me. Paying 80 plus for a fabric carrier is ridiculous. All of the carriers with the X design in back cut into my back, and makes it uncomfortable. Then I found this one. The straps at first seem pretty overwhelming, but they all have a purpose. I still sometimes tend to get confused which way to put it on if i've undone the entire front. Now, i just remember to velcro the sides back in order to know which side is the right one. The straps are very plush just like some of the expensive ones. It's easy to get the baby in and out of the carrier, and he thinks it's comfy too. The leg holes are padded, which is a great plus! It IS pretty thick and plush, like i said, so keep that in mind while wearing it in hot weather. Great product, for a great price!! I have not worn this as a "backpack" type carrier yet but it seems like it'll be equally easy.

My husband primarily wears this carrier and I use a Moby wrap. He said that it is very comfortable for him to wear and our son seems to enjoy being in the carrier. It takes some time to get all of the straps adjusted for the correct carrying height and you have to take the baby out each time so that there is some slack to move around. He said that he would buy it again because he enjoys carrying our son in it when we are out and about and it is easier to handle than a stroller. [...]

This carrier is extremely comfortable and easy to use. I am 5' 8" and about 150 lbs and it fits perfectly! It's going to keep me motivated to go on more walks with my kids and dog to loose the baby weight

I received this carrier as a gift when my first child was an infant. I did not use it much with her because I quite simply did not find it necessary. When my second child was born I certainly found it necessary to have an infant carrier that allowed me to keep my arms free to help my now preschooler. It allows me to hold my preschooler's hand while walking in parking lots and shopping while keeping my infant snug and secure. My youngest is now 14 months old and weighs 23 pounds and I still use this carrier weekly! I do not use it for extended walking but it works well even at her current size for doctor's appointments when I need my hands free for paperwork, shopping trips when my preschooler is sitting in the cart, and countless festivals. I have not noticed a significant amount of lower back pain with this carrier but I am also a physical therapist who is well versed in body mechanics and posture so it's most likely that I "adjust" as needed.I find it easy to get off and on by myself and even to place my child in it while I am wearing it. Often, I unhook one side to take her out for a few minutes (such as as the doctor) while I continue wearing it, then put her back in with one side still attached. I don't find this difficult but it does take a very small amount of effort to orient the side latch correctly with the child in place while supporting her (again, very minor). I have tried other more expensive carriers and took them back to the store because I could not see what they offered for a greater price that the Snugli did not. I do not, however, wear this carrier more than an hour or two at a time so that may be the difference maker. I have recommended this carrier to friends and feel it is user friendly, supportive, comfortable, and accommodating to infants 8-23 pounds as that is thus far as much as I have tested it. I fully intend to use this carrier until my daughter hits the 25-26 pound mark or until she gets uncomfortable in it but currently it is still working great for us. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the 26 pound weight limit as I am sad my days of using it are coming to an end.

We have an Ergo that is inward facing only. Wanted something for outward facing, but was hoping not so spend the big bucks for the Bjorn. Thought I would try this, given the inexpensive cost. Its not worth it. As far as baby carriers go, it is a bit more complex with numerous velcro and snaps. However, it is by no means rocket science The biggest drawback is the comfort/ergonomics. All the weight is on your shoulders. The lumbar support is comfortable, but by no means provides support. After having my 13 lb infant in it for 20 minutes around the house, my shoulders were already getting tight. I also thought that for front facing option, the front of the carrier is a bit tall, even if you fold it down. My 24 inch baby's face doesn't clear the front yet. Moral of the story.... spend the big bucks. Your back/shoulders will thank you.

I wanted to like this because of the price. I didn't want to splurge on an Ergo and thought this would be a good alternative. I was wrong. It's not plush like the image. I think the intent was a failed Bjorn-Ergo combo. Her legs aren't spread in the natural carrying position, so she's dangling from her crotch like in a Bjorn. It doesn't provide enough structure to support her body. And the shoulder straps might as well not be there. I've tried it at various ages - 8 mo now & 16 lbs - and am always disappointed. I don't usually write neg. reviews, but today after 10 min, my back and shoulders were DYING. I don't believe in buying expensive baby products, but the[Brand]is WORTH IT [...] Other Infantino stuff is good but not this.

I received this as a gift. The straps do hurt your back after while and they come up quite high on your back. My advice look for one with more comfort if you plan to use it alot.
