We used this sand filter on our 18' Summer Escape pool. We did not use the valves provided. With some work we got it to fit. Definitely is made just for Intex pools. With some alterations to hose fittings it works and we have crystal clear water. Came with a DVD showing installation steps. Highly recommend viewing that before set up.

This is a great upgrade from using a filter that takes the cartridge type filters. The sand gets changed out yearly, [$] vs. weekly with the cartridges, [$] ea.. Having the built in skimmer is nice for adding chemicals to the pool. I love that this has a built in timer with different settings, Just set it and forget it! Delivery was quick and setup was a snap. I just need to build a platform to put it on as recommended in the video. This will make keeping my pool up year round a breeze. I would buy this again.
