Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should have read the reviews first! Just picked it up at the store and setting it up and the troubles are already starting like the power cord falling out, lousy display doesn't show the repeat mode it's on and the manual doesn't even mention repeat mode but the instructions for programming look ridiculously complicated and pointless as it only holds one CD. Overpriced seeing as the kid in electronics nearly laughed in my face for asking about an "old school" cd player as he called it. I didn't even notice it has a tape player (had to LOL at that one myself) which is useless to me so just spent extra for an obsolete function. I threw away my tapes back in the 90s along with most everyone else in the country under 50 years of age. I bought this item to replace a Memorex that was skipping after just being bought and even when the CD is brand new. Looks like this has the same problem so it is going back. Perhaps the technology is so dated they don't care about quality anymore now that most seem to use itunes, mp3, etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Little Machine, BUT just got it today ($30) because it has all the features we want- CD player, Cassette Deck player/recorder, AM/FM stereo Radio, all at a reasonable price for travel in our truck camper. All works very good and the sound is like a much larger, more expensive unit. BUT, I don't see an ON/OFF power switch. As it is, you have to unplug it from the outlet, or, if using the batteries, remove at lease one battery to shut it down. Otherwise it stays powered up and will run down the batteries. For that reason I down graded it to a 3. If it had a switch I would give it a 5.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk! This thing is a piece of JUNK! I cant believe Target charged me $35 for it... everything is broken on it except the radio and I've only had it for about a month and use it once a day, with care. Also- the plug didn't work after a few days of use, so I had to put batteries in it, which would be fine... if it actually worked. I feel like I got ripped off!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Junk Junk!!!!!!!! Would choose zero starts if possible. Started skipping with the very first cd I played. This is garbage, I agree with a previous reviewer--Target should be ashamed to be selling this thing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I read the reviews first :( I bought this a month ago and it worked perfectly for about 2 weeks. Then, the skipping began, even with new CDs. Now, it isn't even detecting CD's and we need a new one. I wish I read the poor reviews and saved myself the money and trouble. Don't buy this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! Although it looked very nice for face value, the electric cord would not stay plugged into the boombox. We immediately returned it as it was a Christmas gift.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from have had it for 10 years ever since I was little, was always meh It was fine from the start but for awhile now it's skips during a song and does it a lot. When I play it in the car though the CD doesn't skip at all so I know it's the CD players fault for skipping also the cord doesn't go in properly I bend the cord up near where you plug it in and have to press and lean it against something. I would save your money for better. But if u want one right now and don't mind it get it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from do not buy this I've never owned a CD player where I can hear the CD spinning over the music. It's dreadful. There's a high pitched spinning sound every time a CD plays. Also, it makes CDs with no scratches skip (probably damaging otherwise good CDs). Total waste of money. I would give it away, but I'd feel badly for whoever ended up with it.
