This is a terrible product. It arrived disassembled, rattling around in a large box, without instructions for assembly. I tried for an hour to get it together, only to discover that the frame was so badly bent that the gate wouldn't latch. Then the whole thing fell down the stairs in a worthless pile. I carried it out to the curb in a heap and gave it a good throwing away. That was the high point of my purchase experience. Do NOT buy this product.

This gate works perfectly as our first baby gate for 9 month old twins. I had to look up visual instructions on kidco's website to install with extensions. Total install time was about 30 mins even with trying on my own then looking up. As previous reviewer said the frame was bent, I too thought that was the case and it would not close. I was ready to take back only to find out that this is the design and once you tighten against the wall, the gap closes and gate works perfect! Awesome gate and would recommend!
