@katie_elizabeth_a Llama Llama Misses Mama 🦙 In yesterday’s post, I talked about how much Carter is LOVING his first year of PreK so far. If you ask me, I think our book prep had a lot to do with this smooth transition. If you are new here, this fam loves Llama Llama + this was the perfect addition to our collection, at just the right time. I really like that this book shows Llama expressing his true feelings on the first day of school, including fear & even some anger. This author does a great job of permitting these big emotions, but then also showing ways to cope. *Spoiler Alert: Mama comes back at the end + all is well- Llama may even be looking forward to his next day 😮😜 ✏️ + 🎨 : Anna Dewdney

About The Author
Anna Dewdney was a teacher, mother, and enthusiastic proponent of reading aloud to children. She continually honed her skills as an artist and writer and published her first Llama Llama book in 2005. Her passion for creating extended to home and garden and she lovingly restored an 18th century farmhouse in southern Vermont. She wrote, painted, gardened, and lived there with her partner, Reed, her two daughters, two wirehaired pointing griffons, and one bulldog. Anna passed away in 2016, but her spirit will live on in her books.Additional product information and recommendations
