Logitech Z323 Speaker System with Subwoofer - Black (980-000354) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed, sound awful They're speakers and they are black. That's the only good thing you can say about them They are poorly designed all the way around. The treble speakers themselves are horrible sounding: tinny, hollow sounding, no depth, and vibrate too much. Turn them up and they max out into fuzzy, flat sound before 3/4 volume. The base is like listening to thumping mud... no tone, no distinction, just fuzzy and dull. They remove the joy of listening to music. Then there is the physical design. The knobs aren't knurled, they are smooth, so it is hard to grip the volume to turn it up. I guess they did not consider that because who would want to. They are also uncovered so you can easily punch a hole in the delicate membrane or drop small things into the large finger sized hole. I really miss my last speakers, ALtech Lansing, they were in the same price range and much higher quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great speakers If you don't want to pay over $100 for computer speakers. These speakers have great sound quality for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love'em!!! I just love these speakers! they work great and they are really loud. I use them for my ipod, music on my phone, my tv and my computer. We bought them some time last year and I just bought another one for my mom for Mothers Day! oh! and our neighbor was surprised when he seen how little yet so loud our speakers were! lol

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nothing fancy but nice enough Star rated based on price range. You want audiophile quality, go elsewhere and shell out a mint for them. Wanted the cheapest decent speakers I could get and these fit the bill for both bass and tremble. Infinitely better than the laptop speakers I have. Plus? the headphone jack is handy if mounted on the right side of the right speaker. Could wish it had been on the back. Minus? Volume Control is way too smooth. Should have been manufactured with grooves so fingertips could have purchase. Every time I try to turn it on I have to hold the speaker or it moves as I'm trying to twist the dial. Will eventually have to either put some sort of tape around the dial or stick the right speaker to my desk. Definitely recommend if you need to save the big bucks for other things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice for the price When my office at work got remodeled, I decided to ditch my old-school beige computer speakers and purchase some new ones that would match the new office decor. I found that I did need to turn the bass level knob on the subwoofer way down - currently I have it set at the third dot from the left, and that seems to be a nice compromise for most of the music I listen to. The next model up, the Z523, has the bass level knob on the right speaker and a larger sub, but they are almost twice the cost, too. I've had several co-workers come in and tell me that the speakers sound amazingly clear and crisp with very good bass, and I agree - perhaps in part because the speakers have broken in a bit, and I may have just gotten used to the sound of them. I also like the convenient connections - aux-in and headphone jacks located on the right speaker. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible sound I purchased these as a replacement for my existing computer speakers.. The speakers look pretty well built and the cabling is well designed. However, I am heading to return them today. The sound quality is horrible. Everything is muffled with no treble at all. As other reviewers have said, there is no mid to upper range, it's all bass. Throw in the subwoofer and the all base is even worse. If these were cheaper speakers, I may overlook it. For almost 60 USD they should of been designed better. Logitech, throw a tweeter in, would you?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy these speakers. I am a gigging musician with a degree in music, but I wasn't looking for anything spectacular for my desktop, just a set of 2.1 speakers for under 100 to listen/practice music to, watch videos, etc. These are not them. These speakers sound MARGINALLY better than laptop speakers, and that's a stretch. All treble, no midrange or low end from the satellites. Turn up the sub and you now have super low end from the sub and super high end coming through the satellites, nothing in between. The speakers on the back of the satellites make it even worse because they reflect off the wall behind them and give a terrible, echo-y surround sound effect, and not in a good way. Block those rear speakers with anything and you now have a honky sounding set of speakers. They are just terrible. Do not buy if you have any sort of ear at all, even just a little bit.

Featuring Logitech 360-degree sound, these speakers are acoustically engineered to project audio evenly in all directions--not just in one direction, like other desktop speakers. So you hear the full range of sound throughout the room. A ported, down-firing woofer delivers rich, deep bass for more music, movie and gaming excitement. Two satellite speakers produce warm mid-range tones and crisp high notes. Auxiliary inputs make it easy to connect your Logitech Squeezebox network music player, gaming console, iPod or DVD player. A headphone jack lets you listen in privacy. And with 30 watts (RMS) of power, you have everything you need to experience big, bold sound that puts you in the middle of the music.
  • It's a deeper music, movie and game experience, all the way around

Great audio is more than just loud. It pulls you in. Whether you're having a spontaneous dance party, a marathon movie night or a solo gaming session, the Speaker System Z323 transports you into the music, scene and action with immersive 360-degree sound. Your Logitech speakers are engineered to project sound evenly in all directions, all the way around the room. So, no matter where you are in your room, you won't miss a beat. Getting into your music also means bass so deep and rich, you can feel it. To make your audio experience even more entertaining, convenient inputs let you easily connect other gear like your iPod and DVD player. And when the party's on, you've got 30 watts (RMS) of power to pull everybody into the music.

  • Key Features

Logitech 360-degree sound—hear everything, everywhere in the room
Most desktop speakers are designed to focus all their sound in only one direction. When you sit in the “sweet spot” directly in front of the speakers, the sound is good. But when you move out of that narrow sweet spot, the full tonal range of your music starts to thin out. That killer keyboard solo may become a bit muffled. Or those blazing power chords sound muddy.

Traditional desktop speakers focus sound in one listening “sweet spot”
  • Logitech solves this audio dilemma with 360-degree sound technology. Unlike traditional speakers that use only a forward-firing driver, Logitech speakers are acoustically engineered with both forward- and backward-firing drivers. The sound is projected and reflected more evenly and over a wider range of space. So, your whole room becomes a sweet spot filled with clear, rich, balanced music—even if you're rocking out behind the speakers.

Logitech 360-degree speakers project sound evenly in all directions for a full-room sweet spot

  • Ported, down-firing subwoofer delivers deep, rich bass
When it comes to feeling that full-on ka-boom in your favorite action movie or the driving bottom end of a Sting classic, it's all about the bass. The Speaker System Z323 delivers big, deep lows. The subwoofer's extra port and down-facing design produce the kind of rich, resonant bass that brings your music, movies and games to life.
  • On-speaker inputs for easy connections to your entertainment gear
Do you have other gear that could use a 360-degree sound improvement? Go ahead. Plug in your Logitech Squeezebox network music player, gaming console, iPod or DVD player. The dual RCA jack and 3.5 mm input make it a snap to turn your speaker system into a versatile entertainment powerhouse.
  • Convenient headphone jack lets you listen in private
Throwing a party in the living room or out back on the deck? The music part is covered. These small, lightweight speakers are easy to move to any room. Just bring your notebook to the party room, plug in the speakers, pick your playlist and start dancing.
  • 30 watts of power gets the whole room rocking
Feel free to crank up the volume. With 30 watts (RMS) of power, your music will come alive with sound big enough to fill the room. And no matter what part of the room you're in, you'll hear every vocal line, keyboard chord and hi-hat hit in crystal-clear detail.
