Dramatic, addictive, daring and just plain brilliant, Mad Men: Season Four continues to deliver everything you expect from this critically lauded, award-winning series from AMC. Mad Men season 4 finds Don Draper (Jon Hamm in his best performance so far) living alone in a seedy Greenwich Village, both physically and emotionally removed from Betty (January Jones) and the kids. The newly formed agency Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce is off to a promising start, despite the fact that Don seems to be rapidly descending toward rock bottom. Peggy (Elisabeth Moss) comes into her own this season, attaining new power and respect within the agency and engaging in some great (platonic) chemistry with Don. Joan (Christina Hendricks) watches her husband leave for the war in Vietnam, which looms over everyone, along with the 1964 presidential campaign. Special features on this DVD set include audio commentary on all 13 episodes and fascinating documentaries on this historical significance of several topics covered in the show, like divorce, the Ford Mustang and the 1964 election. A must-see for any Mad Men fan.
