Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I absolutely love this pump only wish i would of had the extra cash to upgrade to the double pump. It's convenient easy to use. Love that it can be operate by battery or plug in =) It also has a clip you can attach to your belt. Many accessories can be bought seperately that only enhance the breastfeeding experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for exclusive pumping I used this pump before using the double breast pump by Medela. The suction is not as strong as the double pump and the pump turned off after 30mins. In addition to being loud, I felt it took longer because the lack of suction. You also can't switch back and forth with the "let down" button. If you want to go back to the short pulsed pumping, you have to turn the pump off and back on again. Since it's not supposed to turn off on its own, I was able to exchange it at Medela without any issues. The customer service at Medela is excellent. No hassle exchange policy. If you're looking for a single pump and need to get your milk supply established, I suggest a manual pump. Otherwise, spend the money and invest in the double pump.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horribly loud for being so small!! Bought this cause I was having trouble breast feeding thinking it would help my supply...it didn't. Still only produce one ounce and it's so loud it wakes up my son and the suction hardly works! Also, it takes anywhere from 30-60 minutes to pump because you have to do each one separately. I recommend spending the additional $100+ and getting the In Style double pump by medela.

Overview

  • Why are Medela breastpumps different?

Proven by research & moms to produce more milk in less time.*

Medela is the only company to provide research-based pump technology that mimics a baby’s natural nursing pattern.

Through research, Medela learned that there are two distinct phases of how babies breastfeed.

    1) Stimulation phase – When babies first go to breast, they suck fast and light to stimulate milk flow.
    2) Expression phase – After milk flow or “let-down” starts, babies breastfeed with a slower, deeper suck, bringing out more milk faster.

The original 2-Phase Expression® technology can only be found in Medela breastpumps.

*When pumping at Maximum Comfort Vacuum™ in the Expression phase.

  • Made without BPA – Safe for Mom & Baby

All Medela breastmilk bottles and products that come in contact with breastmilk are and always have been made without BPA.
