Motorola Digital Audio Baby Monitor - MBP16 is rated 2.15 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect clear sound! We bought this after we purchased a cheap "other brand" and were so please with the quality that we also purchased a Motorola Video Monitor as well. Worth the extra money to have clear sound. Threw us off the first time we used as it has a short delay and doesn't stay on, just when it detects sound. Love this product and the other monitor from Motorola...we will never buy another brand!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Utter Disappointment What a disappointment this monitor was.We originally chose this monitor assuming that Motorola, being an electronic manufacture, would make it a quality product. Unfortunately it seems that they have jumped on the baby bandwagon and taken advantage of trust in their brand. Like many of the other reviews, ours only worked properly for 5 months (which we hardly used in the beginning because our daughter didn't move to her own room until 3 months). The battery life was fair, but we haven't used many of the extra features (nightlight, sound, etc.). The most frustrating thing about this monitor is that it looses connectivity, at which point the unit starts beeping. What is most infuriating about this, is the fact that it happens in the middle of the night when the monitor is plugged in (not to mentioned hasn't been moved in several hours). We're fortunate enough to have a baby that sleeps through the night, but have been woken many times by the monitor not being linked. Overall, this is an utter disappointment in a brand that should know how to make better product, and not be simply satisfied to cash in and tarnish their brand recognition. I would not purchase another Motorola baby monitor (even with the additional cost of an extended warranty), which is exactly what we're going to have to do. Hoping for a recall on this product or that retailers will discontinue carrying this particular model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless! I wanted something easy to use and this is anything but that. It dies so fast, it doesn't work if it's in another room, and is a pain to turn in and off! Not worth the money

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Monitor The monitor was very easy to assemble and use. I read the manual to understand all the buttons. I had a hard time turning the monitor off and on. I think what I was doing wrong is pushing and holding the on/off button too hard. I liked that the monitor had a clip that could be a stand, that there was a light and music on the monitor. You can only change the music on the child monitor and I wish you could change the music on the parent monitor. I like that you had an option to talk to the baby/child by pushing the talk button on the parent monitor. It was easy to use. My 4 and 6 year old were even able to use it. We used it at the Grandparents house to monitor the kids sleeping in another room and to tell stories. The link was very good that there was no static. At the same time when one monitor was off the other would beep continually until you had linked the two together. This product is great after you learn how to work all the options. I would buy this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT MONITOR! this is a great monitor for the price. you can hear clearly and it has a pretty good range. only downside I've experienced so far is the monitor doesn't have a great battery life. I have to keep it plugged in at night to make sure it doesn't die on me. also don't get the receiver & the monitor too close to each other or you'll get some wicked feedback. nice feature that it tells the temp of the room. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Monitor wears out and will not link. Have used monitors for one year and now they will no longer link. Trust the reviews and do not purchase. I tried calling customer service but did not receive an answer to the problem. The first year was very satisfied but very unhappy that they no longer work and experienced poor customer service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Recommended This monitor was difficult to manage from the start. The directions to put in the batteries made it seems clear, but the battery would not stay in. It would have been good to know that I had to wrap the black and red cords around the battery in order for it to stay in the monitor. Three different people tried to install it before we finally wrapped the wires and got it to stay. It did not take long for the monitors to charge. Once charged, the sound quality was quite loud and easy to hear. Unfortunately, the monitors did not hold their charge. I had to keep them plugged in the socket in order to use them for any length of time. When they would run out of batteries, the monitors would make a loud beeping sound that was intrusive to my baby's sleep. When it was at the end of the charge, I could press a button and hear clearly for about 30 seconds. It would then shut off automatically for some reason. When it was charged, it was effective, but it didn't stay charged long. These monitors are not a good value because they took way to long to figure out how to install the battery. Once charged, they did not stay charged. I do not feel that these were quality-made monitors. The author of this review received a free sample of the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GARBAGE! The batteries die within a couple months and the monitors have to be kept on a charger to work. After only having these for a year all of the sudden mine decided not to link up with the one in my son's room. Currently borrowing the cheapest audio monitor Target sells from my mother and it is more reliable than this pricier monitor that I am about to toss in the trash. I thought Motorola was supposed to be a good brand and was sadly mistaken.
