Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coffe maker... Have had no problem with this coffee maker and have had it over a year now. I first purchased it for our lake place, but brought it home over the winter months. I am going to be purchasing a new one for the lake!! People that have problem with over running...maybe are either filling the reserve with too much water (watch that you only do it up to the line) or are doing something wrong when putting in the coffee and coffee filter. Definitely like this coffeemaker!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from MR coffie not worth price I have had it for a year. Only worked right for 8 months. This thing has not made coffee the same every time for awile. Sometimes its good and hot, sometimes only warm. it has made weak tea coffee a bunch of times dispite using a cup and half of coffee per 3.5 cups of water. Never make the full 8 cups if you want any flavor you will be pouring it out as it will look like a pale tea. On another note the pot is hard to clean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice Featues, WEAK Coffee Our decade-old Basic Mr. Coffee died so picked this up at the local red bulls-eye store. I like: Vacuum Pot -- No burner to burn the coffee. Delivers 180 degree coffee as measured. Delay timer. -- (I'm coming from an old manual start brewer) Removable water tank -- Handy for filling I don't like: Filter canister -- The integrated charcoal water filter is a nice touch, but it must be tipped up and held to dump the grinds. (I use paper filters). A better design would be to have it in a separate slot. HORRIBLE COFFEE -- Mr Coffee advertises a "Fast Brew." In short, good coffee is not fast brewed unless you're making Espresso. I tried my normal grind from the old unit, more coffee than was recommended by Mr. Coffee, and a finer grind. Three pots. Both the wife and I in independent observations had the same opinion. Horrible, weak, coffee that is nowhere near what our old $12 Mr. Coffee delivered. A fast brew just doesn't have enough water residence time on the grind to get the richness out of the coffee. This unit is headed back to the red bulls-eye in the morning. I'll use the french press again tomorrow that I'd gotten out of the cupboard when faithful old Mr. Coffee died. I won't use this thing..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this coffee pot! I really work a coffee pot. I have it going 24 hours a day. As soon as I finish one pot, I make another, day and night. I am buying another just in case this one wears out. I don't want to go one day without one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this machine, and the caraf! I really enjoy coffee from my new coffee maker. It makes hot coffee quickly and keeps it hot. I really like that the water tank is removeable. I was nervous to buy a new machine to replace a Keurig that gave me no problems, but left me missing better tasting coffee and the ability to make more coffee. Very pleased so far!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaker!!!! After caring for this overrated coffee maker using vinegar and the cleaning cycles. The Optimal Brew leaves behind unwanted water pools on my granite counter top. Ive had cheaper makers that do a better job without the mess!
