Netgear WiFi Mobile Booster - White (WN1000RP-100NAS) is rated 3.9091 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not quite the solution Installation was straightforward but the networks was not expanded. I have a vertical problem rather than horizontal. I live in a townhouse. The main router is on the third floor. My kitchen and problem area is on the first floor and the other side of the house. Signal to the device on the first floor was week. I moved it to the second floor, signal to the device was strong, but signal to the kitchen was not improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skip the price wifi extenders If I would've known before I got my new tv that my wifi just need a boost I would've gotten this a loooong time ago. I got a new hd TV and my Roku was constantly stopping in 45 seconds into a scene and talk 10x as long to reload. I was going to blow more money on an Apple TV until I realized my laptop did that same thing with videos. The router I have is on the lower level of my house and the Booster allows everything to run smoothly. Know I don't have to watch videos off my iPhone anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well and connected easily It was easy to setup and it gave off a good signal for the new area. You do connect to it as a different access point on your device. Ex: att06 and att06ext.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shoddy engineering, nonexistent support Such a shoddy piece of equipment. It kind-of extends your range, but not so much as you might want. Lets say you have this attached to a router 30 feet away. You may get an improved signal at 40 feet away from taht router, but if you compared the signal 10 feet to the other direction (so you were 10 feet from the WN1000RP, yet 20 feet from your wireless router), the signal would be **better** from the router, even though it's twice as far away. And the configuration settings are not very stable either. I have had more than one occasion where the settings just up and disappeared. Or it decides to lock up and you have to hard-reset the extender, thus requiring you to go through the setup wizard all over again. So I figure, hey there must be some firmware update available. And sure enough, there is. But it **ONLY** works under MSWindows. You don't have MSWindows? Tough cookies, sucker. You've just blown money on a product that the manufacturer is incapable of updating in any moderately competent manner. And you had *better* have your sales receipt immediately at hand, because if you didn't buy it within the past week, Netgear is all set to blow you off and shirk their responsibility to provide customer service and support. Do yourself a favor and buy a product from some company that has a modicum of technical competence and believes they should stand behind their products. Because Netgaer certainly doesn't fit that description.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm This device was so easy to set up and works great! It took less than 5 minutes from when I plugged it in to when I was surfing the Internet on my phone in the part of the house our router previously could not reach. Was $5 cheaper in store than online so that was an added bonus!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money Went through the setup process, looked like it worked. No internet access. Tried to access the mywifiext.net page and couldn't. Reset the device. Tried the manual configuration. Same problem. Shows as an unidentified network with no access. Set it up again with a new name, still a problem even though I called it a home network and said to make all networks in the future home networks. Spent over an hour on chat with support, resetting the thing, upgrading to the firmware it already had, resetting some more. Tried 5 different devices, none work. Suddenly, my chat with support disconnected. I decided not to bother contact them again. Tomorrow, it goes back to the store and I invest in a decent Wireless N Router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Writing a Review So, I never write reviews but I used the other reviews while shopping so I thought I should pay it forward. I live in the basement of large home with a router on the 2nd floor. The strength is always "very low" as indicated on the wireless utility. I plugged the product in the wall in the basement and now the strength is "excellent." Very happy with this purchase. Very easy to set up and use with my laptop and Iphone. And so, worth my time to write a review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best for active houses ***Four gamers in the house. Three xbox's & up to 5 phones on wifi. We currently have CHARTER and live on the whole 2nd floor. HUGE house. Already have a wide range wifi router. Needed a booster for the other half of the house. Set-up was a little weird but once you get to messing with it- turns out the set up was waaaaay easier than setting up my wifi modem. Connection is strong and holds a solid connection on those crazy nights. Excellent buy for your money. I would hughly recommend to a high active internet use house.
