I am 36 yrs old and I have always had really oily skin. I have tried everything....everything from really expensive to not so expensive, I even ordered products from overseas. As great of my dermatologist is he didn't do the trick. It creates a smooth barrier that you can wear foundation and or powder or even when you don't want to wear any makeup at all. I also break out easily and I don't with this. I work and don't have time to fuss over touch ups with this on. I hope they don't ever stop se lling it.
This primer is gritty when you apply it, but it works great for me! It helps to keep me shine-free for longer than the 8 hours that it promises. I have combination skin. Usually my nose and forehead will get shiny very quickly, but I'm not finding that when I use this primer.
I have extremely oily skin, and this product did nothing to help. I stay shine free for 2 hours tops, it is gritty in texture and feels a bit greasy on your skin. I also purchased the shine control powder in the same brand, it just makes you look chalky, and also does nothing special. If someone has oily skin and claims this product worked for them, I'd assume it was someone working for the company, this is an over priced flop, do not waste your money.
I'm confused as to why Neutrogena would add shimmer to a shine-free product. The whole point of this line is to reduce shine! The spf makes it feel like a moisturizer and didn't absorb or dry quickly. I used this with the Shine Control foundation and was severely disappointed. My face feels tacky, even after setting it with a powder, and looks like I've been wearing this makeup all day. I'll be returning this asap.

I have super oily skin and have tried several other primers. This one is very gritty when you apply it. It only keeps me shine free until about lunch. Also you only get one ounce in this container making it pretty pricey. I've been using it for about a week now and am pretty disappointed.
