Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G Prime Lens - Black is rated 4.7021 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent prime lens I bought this lens for my Nikon D 5200. My goal was to use this lens for bokeh pictures, and it worked. It is also good for astronomy photography (stars and planets). I had a doubt between buying the 35 mm or the 50 mm lens; but I think the 35 mm was a good choice (50 mm is not as wide lens as the 35 mm).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile low light lens This lens is a great value for the fact you can shoot at such a wide 1.8 aperture, and at such a reasonable price. I've gotten so many great shots of kids with this lens, and it doubles as being great for evening/night low light photography as well. The only downside is the on a DX format camera the focal length is actually 50mm, which is ideal for a portrait lens but not for more wide angle. So sometimes you have to take a few steps back to take the shot since it's a prime lens. But its low light performance is much better than any zoom lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome First lens purchase I have made and couldn't be happier. Used it on my D3100 for a few weeks and recently upgraded to the D7000. Only had a chance to do indoor shots so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!!! This lens is hands down one of my favorite lenses. The sharpness is amazing. It's not even about the price of the lens. It's just a great one period. I use this lens for a good 80% of the portraits I take. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lens. Great price I have both this lens and the 50mm. Not sure which on i like better. Great on fx but also works well on dx cameras. Sharp, fast and the bokeh is not too bad at all. The only knock is some tricky distortion. Most can be fix in lightroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful lens I like this lens even better than the 50mm. Works fantastically with my D90! Beautiful colors. Nice bokeh. Highly recommended.
