Came disassmebled, with no directions on assemply and only 2 screws to hold anything together. There were no pre drilled holes to even show where the 2 screws were to go. The 2 screws obviously did nothing to actually hold it together, as soon as you go to cutting it falls like jenga blocks. We had to go out and buy wood glue to get it put together. Don't waste your money.
I love the idea of this product. It is difficult to cut slices that are consistently the same thickness. This product allows you to do that. however the design could use a little alterations. The plastic cutting guides are rather flimsy. I would recommend only attaching one of the plastic sides. This allowed me to hold the bread in one place much easier. However, the endplate was helpful in keeping the bread from moving and without both sides it wouldn't stay on. I solved that issue by gluing i t in place. With these changes i love the uniform slices and my relatively crumb-free counter.
h It has a nice appearance and is small enough to set back out of the way when not being used. Also has a removable board for easier cleaning.
Slicer is good, but you need a longer knife to cover the width of the slicer. Also the plastic moves while cutting the bread - so you need to hold it with other hand
I have been searching for a bread slicer like this for some time. Now since I have purchased it make my bread baking much easier.
Couldn't wait to receive this as I bake alot of bread. The slices were too thick and hard to keep them uniform. Did not know I could return it to store or I would have, now another item in garage,.

My bread maker makes very large loaves of bread. Very TALL loaves. As a result, the slice dividers don't quite reach the tops of my loaves. I get around this by simply being careful since I use an electric knife to slice with. Other than that one small issue, this works great as a guide to slice bread with. I definitely recommend an electric knife as well - electric knives go through bread so much easier.
