Laura is a successful plastic surgeon. But having dedicated her life to her profession, and on the verge of turning 40 she is single and lonely and feels her youth slipping away. When a handsome young male nurse, Gustavo, shows interest, she falls quickly into bed with him. He unleashes in her a wild sexuality but his love turns toxic as he grows more and more jealous. Eventually she has no recourse but to fire him from the hospital and throw him out of the house. And that's when things go from weird to frightening. First her best friend is beaten close to death and then she finds her house destroyed. She begins to investigate his past and discovers that he is not the person he claimed to be. The beloved grandmother who he so often quoted turns out to be a sexually abusive adopted parent. When things get too tense she decides to close her clinic for a few weeks and take a much needed rest. But the night she is finishing up with her patients, Gustavo shows up for one final showdown.
