I've seen many owl lamps but this one looks superior to most. My husband and I have a woodsy themed bedroom and this product fit in perfectly.
I was hesitant to buy this lamp because of the mediocre reviews, but I really liked the look. I got the lamp the other day and the base looks very nice. There were no chips or damaged spots. Some of the finish has little, rough bubbles that you might notice on VERY close inspection, and I was only looking that closely because of the other reviews. I don't think they are anything to be worried about and I see no signs that the finish will separate, but those bubbles probably are a technical impe rfection. Overall I'm happy with the lamp.[...]

Owls seem to be a trend as of late.This owl lamp looked pretty decent online. But, it arrived in flimsy cardboard packing and styrofoam. Upon opening, there were a few large paint chip marks showing the white plastic beneath the ultra thin dark brown, wood-like coating. Is it paint? Hard to tell. Whatever the coating is, it does not stick to the plastic formed base. I will most likely wash lightly with a scrubber sponge to remove the chippy coating, sand the plastic, to allow paint to stick to it, and apply my own primer and paint. Oh, and the lampshade wasn't packaged well enough to arrive without a few dents. I guess this is the gamble that one takes with online ordering. Buyer beware!
