Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot find a better product for the price. This stereo rocks for the size. The stated wattage is 70, but it seems much higher. It easily connects via bluetooth. The sound is loud; nice bass; crisp and clear. A very nice product at an amazingly low price; well worth the money. I also have Philips speakers for my computer; keep up the good work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little shelf radio/cd/Bluetooth unit Bought this for Christmas. Needed something to listen to local radio stations that was moderately priced. It is Bluetooth compatible and has really good sound. Got great reception indoors in a rural area. Nice profile and size. Problems: No way to connect another type of antenna or signal booster. Use of remote is NOT intuitive and there is no manual that comes with the unit. Glad I bought it. My dad is partially deaf but he is able to hear the sound on this unit and there is little to no static. Now he can listen to his ball games. Thanks Phillips for continuing to produce some of the more traditional audio units!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from CD Player quit working within weeks I bought this for use in my classroom. With normal classroom use, within a month, the CD player will no longer read any discs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought this unit to replace an Aiwa unit that I had had since 1994. I had purchased a few other bookshelf stereo units in the previous months but returned them all because sound quality or build quality was rather lacking. I was about to give up on owning a new bookshelf system, as it seems they just don't make things the way they used to. I finally came across this stereo and decided to give it a go. I was impressed with it the moment it came out of the box, as the speakers seem well built and the stereo casing itself is metal, not like the cheap, thin plastic that I had become accustomed to seeing in the prior systems. I noticed that there isn't a bass/treble adjustment, and I was nervous at first but once I plugged in this stereo I was instantly impressed with its sound. This stereo volume level goes to 30... 15 is pretty reasonable and at 20 my condo neighbor was texting me to turn down the sound. If I ever get the entire building to myself I will crank up the volume to 30 to see what this system can do. As for its functions, I played a few CDs and they sounded excellent. But the main reason I love this stereo is because of its bluetooth. I honestly hadn't been looking for that since I really don't use it so it was a nice surprise when I realized that this stereo came with it. The majority of my music listening pertains to the collection I have downloaded into my phone, so now that I have it paired with the stereo this is all I use and it's super easy to set up and so convenient to use ... no more running back and forth to change the station or disc. I am very happy with this stereo, so much so that I decided to purchase my daughter one for Christmas. I will be sticking to the Philips brand from now on... next purchase, new DVD player to go with the new stereo and flat screen!
