        Image Features

        Acid Production

During the digestive process, your stomach produces acid to break down food.

        Acid Reflux

When too much acid is produced, the excess stomach acids reflux into your esophagus, causing heartburn.

        Proton Pumps

The acid is caused by millions of tiny pumps in your stomach.

        Prilosec OTC Blocks Acid

Prilosec OTC blocks many of the active stomach pumps that produce acid.

        No More Excess Acid

Your stomach produces enough acid to break down food, but not the excess acid that cause heartburn.
