When my mother-in-law bought this desk to put in her apartment, I fell in love with it! We needed it for our laptops, filing for bills, and extra storage in our small office/guest room/man cave. The assembly was easy to follow, the desk is very sturdy, and the color is amazing!
I purchased this desk for my apartment. The dark brown wood grain looks appealing, and the size of the desk is appropriate for my needs. The desk came with an optional file hanger for the bottom drawer, but I have no need for that. Also it has option handles for the drawers. The assembly was somewhat difficult for me, as the instructions weren't very clear. At some steps I had to disassemble on one occasion, and backtrack as the steps were somewhat confusing. I rated the quality 4/5 beca use I had to return the first desk that I purchased since one of the pressed wood pieces was broken, but the second one that I got was in good shape. Also fingerprint smudges are very visible in certain lighting. Overall, I believe that it is a good buy, I am pleased with the amount of drawer space that it provides, and the open compartment allocated a nice place for my laptop. I am satisfied with this desk, and believe it was a good purchase.
The box was heavy- get help carrying it! Other than that, no issues! It took some time to put together, but was not difficult at all and I only needed a Phillips screwdriver and a hammer. It's a very sturdy desk, looks nice and is a perfect size for my needs. Very happy with it!
I put this together by myself in about 2 hours, I've only ever put about 3 items together in my life. If you follow the directions, they are very clear and easy to read & follow. You'll only need a phillips head screwdriver, flat head screwdriver & a hammer or mallet. It's very pretty and seems pretty sturdy. Very good buy for the money.
This is a nice desk, and we love the drawers and shelf. It was pretty easy to put together, and having a power drill was really helpful.It looks great in our living room and we're glad we got it!
I bought this desk just yesterday after contemplating on a desk for almost a year now and its brilliant. It took about 2 hours to put this thing together. Its quiet sturdy and looks very chic.

I was looking for an inexpensive desk setup for an awkward space in my home and came across this! In addition to this unit I bought the matching "Office Storage Unit". The dark espresso color is beautiful, and the brushed metal optional hardware (included) really sets the desk off. Set up was a snap (about 1.25 hours being slow and careful)! The instructions were easier and clearer to understand than [...] furniture. The second page of the instructions clearly states this is a Sauder product (a leader in particle board furniture) and comes with a limited 3 year warranty. All the big pieces are labeled (some have letters printed on the unfinished edge of the particle board so you don't have a million stickers to peel off.I really appreciate that there is no slide out keyboard - I am 6'4" and I have plenty of space an nothing to bang my knees on :) I actually had to raise my desk chair up! There are only two minor cons about this desk: 1 - unlike its matching storage unit, the cubby hole does NOT have a punch out for cables. 2 - as seen in the picture the file cabinet is elevated from the ground; the edge of the cabinet is pointed and when maneuvering in/out I banged the top of my foot on it.Disclaimer: I am very satisfied, but you get what you pay for. When I used "Beautiful" and "Sturdy" above, it is relative to the price point and material. I could have paid $[...] at an office store for something that looked very high end or $[...] for very sturdy real wood furniture. This was $[...]. -- Great product, Target!
i just moved and needed a nice desk that had a filing drawer. i came accross this desk on the target site, and loved it! i had to call 5 targets till i found one that had it in stock! my husband put it together in a few hours, and it looks really great! ud never believe that it was less than [$]! would def reccommend this desk to others.

Took a little time to put it together but it was easy to do. I put it together myself, 21yo female. This desk looks so sleek and high quality, sturdy construction once assembled. I'm a college student, so I spend a good amount of time at my desk. Enough room for a lamp, laptop, book and notebook. Definitely something I can use in my home once I graduate because it looks great. I have no complaints and would rec. to anyone. GREAT DESK.
