One of the best size containers for storing leftovers. Can't go wrong with Rubbermaid. Glad they finally came out with the glass bowls. Hated using plastic. [...] regarding toxins in plastic and knew this was the only way to go.
I notice the box says easy find lids, but it says noting about easy to use lids. The picture shows a woman's hands popping the lid somehow and making it stick to the bottom of the container, but I cannot for the life of me get this to happen. My hands are sore from trying. There are no instructions included and I think I will have the same problem I always have...not being able to find the lid that fits. I shouldn't have to research on the internet how to correctly use your product. Include so me directions!
I just bought these to replace some old plastic containers and chipped glass no-name brand. I always considered Rubbermaid quality. I put food in and the lids won't stay shut. They popup and don't seal. I will try pulling out all the gaskets and trying again but if not I will have to return. :-( Any other ideas on how to fix??
It's a very attractive product and I like storing and reheating in glass instead of plastic. Worked well until I removed gasket for cleaning. Have never been able to reinstall the gasket, despite following recommended instructions. If I still had the receipt it would have gone back to the store.
The glass bowls are great but the "easy find" lids are not. Yes they are easy to find and very organisable but, they do not fit the glass. They creap up after they have been placed tightly around the glass. All of the negatives for this product are about the lid portion only.
After separating the gasket from the lid to clean, they get more and more difficult to get back together. I now use plastic wrap to cover my nice glass containers. Several friends agree with me. Would not recommend until the lids are improved.
I recently purchased several glass storage containers with easy to find lids. I am taking them back. The lids are poorly designed. I found the gaskets difficult to snap into the lids; it's essentially impossible to clean the ridges in the lids by hand, and the containers leaked the first time I used them even though the gasket was properly placed.
I bought two of these Glass Rubbermaid Storage Containers from Kroger. I have only used them a couple of times and and completely unsatisfied. I bought these to be able to take Soups and stews to work for lunch , and every time I have tried the container ends up leaking all over the place. The lid does not seal correctly to the glassware and DOES NOT hold in liquid. I would not recommend purchasing these if you intend to use them for liquids or to use as containers for lunch from home. Very dis appointed in this product.
the glass container is really nice. the lids are horrible!!! I was excited to finally find them in the store, bought several of them, used one time. the lids absorb the oder of the food and you cant get rid of it. i tried soaking the lid in lemon juice for several hours, didnt work, soaked it in vinigar, didnt work. I now have several glass containers with no lids. had to throw them away. the plastic containers dont do that. wont spend my hard earned money on the glass again!

I was very excited to buy these because I try to avoid plastic and BPA. However, they are very poorly designed. First, the lids do not keep their seal in the refrigerator. (The cold makes them shrink and they lose their seal.) Second, the lids are two-pieces. In order to wash them, you have to take the flange out of the lid and then put it back in after washing and drying. This is per the instructions---and it's not an easy process. Finally, the lids have so many nooks and crannies in them, the y take forever to dry after washing in the dish washer. No matter how you load the dishwasher, they always come out wet. I have since purchased glass/BPA-free [...] and am very happy with it.
