Paul Haslinger's second album for RGB Records is another world fusion effort, albeit with a cinematic scope and more of an emphasis on chunky grooves. A few tracks, including the highlight, "When Worlds Collide," are virtually pop songs, while much of the album explores contemporary instrumental music and reveals influences from trip-hop and dance music. Though Haslinger's production work is edgy and skillful throughout, the Eastern chanting and vocals on many tracks may bother fans of traditional dance music. John Bush, Rovi
