Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shark Pet perfect...not so perfect! I plugged it in for the 6 hours it said to charge fully and was able to vacuum for 5 minutes and it died! I plugged it back in and waited for a full day and just tried again and it didn't even hold a charge for 30 sec. I'm taking it back! I read the reviews and thought my experience would be different but it hasn't been.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product ever! I bought this is January, 2015. By April, it would run for only 3 seconds. I called Shark. They said it was the battery pack and sent me a new one. This did not work. I called Shark again. They said it was the charger adaptor and sent me a new one. This did not work. Don't waste your money. I now have a vacuum that works for 3 seconds at best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good value Great when new. After a few months it will not hold a charge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great while it lasted (which wasn't long) Best handvac ever for getting up pet hair and car cleaning. Always followed instructions never left it plugged in. This meant running it until completely discharged even if last job did not get finished when battery died. Then complete 15 hour recharge. Still stopped working after 11 months (used it maybe 10 times). Should have read other reviews before buying. Seems I was actually lucky to get that much life out of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quit working after a few months! I had this vacuum for about 5 months and it stopped working. Poor performance. The first 5 months it worked just fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasted less than 6 months Fantastic when it works. Unfortunately, it stopped working at about 6 months. I loved this vacuum cleaner so I contacted Shark who, very helpfully, sent out a replacement battery. Then they said that the battery is killed by leaving it plugged in. Well...WHY would I NOT leave it plugged in? Not putting it on the base is a recipe for it getting lost. The base is always plugged in as it's screwed in on the wall. Fundamental design flaw. Shark makes fabulous vacuum cleaner, I hope they fix this soon. My heart hurts at having to reenter the handheld vacuum market (I have 2 dogs and there's hair EVERYWHERE).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Battery Life- Expensive Battery! This vacuum works great until the battery dies 6-months in. I was so impressed at the ability to get dog hair off the couch, rugs, floors, etc. It cleaned dog hair better than my full size Dyson. But 6-months in and the battery died- it wouldn't charge at all. Of course the battery isn't covered until the Shark Warranty and it is $40 to buy a new battery. The vacuum itself is only $60! I am not going to spend 2/3 of the price of the vacuum on a new battery every 6 months. I will find another brand that works just as well.
