We bought this to use at the beach to keep out of the hot Florida sun. It is wonderful. Easy to set up and take down, very light and easy to carry. We use our for the beach and easily fit myself and my husband under this. Even with the two of us under-my kids still fit in the shade. It really does give a good amount of room. We got caught in a bad storm at the beach and were able to quickly collapse and leave. After our first experience we decided to purchase another so we can have two s ide by side. Easy to store, use, and works great. We may purchase another set of anchors for additional security. While it was storming at the beach we saw several traditional umbrellas blow away but ours stayed in place and we want to make sure it stays that way.
I bought this for sports games cold and hot weather and it is amazing. Big enough for at least four people.
My husband plays in a soccer league so we are outdoors a lot during the summer. We have been using a canopy tent for years, but the tent is too heavy and requires too much assembling. Now that we have the sportbrella, it's goodbye to the tent.

The umbrella has a rod that extends into the sand or ground. The point of the rod is equivalent to an arrow. A small breeze made the umbrella take off as though nothing was holding it down. The spikes had no holding power at all. The side vents were open but that did not prevent the umbrella from taking off. The arrow end of the rod just missed a small child playing about three feet away. We were lucky the beach was not crowded that day. [..]
