I really like the cat carrier. It's great because I don't have a lot of space and it folds up flat for storage. I just have a small kitten though but for him it works well. I could see how if you have a bigger cat that it might seem kind of flimsy. A docile, well-behaved cat who doesn't mind a carrier would be fine in this though.
Cute! WORTHLESS as a carrier, expensive toy. The zipper failed on the first trip and again after I thought it was fixed. Zipper is nylon and separates easily at the curve. I am a seamstress and know that when this type of zipper is bent around a corner it tends to separate. Nika loved it as a toy but I had to use a cardboard carrier to get her to the vet. Buy a non-cute hard-side carrier and get your money's worth. I read the reviews and thought that the problem might have been corrected, no su ch luck!
We originally bought 2 of these to hold our two adult cats when we moved from NY to TX. They are easy to use and have held up well. Easy to clean and fabreze works awesome on them. We have used them for many trips to the vet - we have 4 cats now so they get used often - and also used them when we were fostering abandoned kittens. One of our dogs decided one of the carriers made a great toy and chewed it badly enough we had to get rid of it, but the other is still going strong. We need more carr iers, so we are going to buy 3 more. Well worth the price.
I got this carrier for my tabby mix when he was a kitten based on aesthetics. I traveled back and forth between school and home on the weekend and needed one. After him rolling around/playing in the carrier on our trips, the support rod popped out and had to constantly be popped back in. Eventually it wouldn't pop back in anymore and after 4 uses I had to go buy a new carrier. [...]
This carrier is great for cats in the car. The handles can easily slip through the car seat and keep the kitty secure. My 10lb cat likes to be able to look out and see me while I drive. I like its flexibility and kitty treats it like a tent/cave. I have had no problems with the zipper. There are now 2 carriers in my household. No problems and can't beat the price.
I bought two of these several years ago for my two older cats and they worked great. Though one had a tricky zipper it was still usable. Put a flat wooly pet bed in bottom to make it more comfy. Cats both had claws, but kept them trimmed, they did not rip the carrier or break the zipper. I gave one of the carriers to a friend who still uses it for her cat and loves it too. Now I have two new kittens, so I bought this carrier again to carry them for vet visits. I will buy a second one for when t hey're bigger as two cats won't fit into one of these. The large windows are the best and kitties can't hurt themselves on the soft fabric. Also, this carrier is far lighter than the heavier bulkier ones, and it folds flat for easy, efficient storage which is a must when you live in an apartment. Can't be beat for the price!
We live in Southern CA and have four adult cats. I'm always afraid of what we would do if we had a big earthquake and had to round them all up at once. We do have one large, hard plastic carrier we use on a regular basis for vet visits, but that would not fit all of them at once and would probably be buried in the garage if there were an earthquake. I purchased four of these cat carriers and keep them stashed under the foot of our bed. They take up very little space and will be easy to grab and pop open in a pinch. We tried them out on our largest cat and he fit in there comfortably and it was easy to pick him up and carry him around. I think these are excellent to keep on hand if you need to contain your pet in a pinch.
This carrier is very durable but the zipper IS a tad bit weak. My kittens haven't destroyed it yet but they become highly stressed when inside it and when they shift their weight, its a pain in a half. Its a bit uncomfortable to handle but it works well for an emergency. If you need a carrier for a small/medium sized cat and don't travel too much, this is perfect.
Zipper on this is horrible. I didn't even get it to go half an inch and it broke. The teeth came off the track and the tiny zipper handle flew off. Don't waste your money on this carrier.

This is the best cat carrier I have ever owned. Not only does it fold flat for easy and compact storage, but my cats actually LIKE it. They get into the carrier all on their own with no fuss. It makes trips to the vet a lot less traumatic for everyone. I have had no issues with the quality as experienced by some other reviewers and one of my cats is nearly 15 pounds.
