Summer Baby Link WiFi internet viewing camera
I received a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write a review of this product. I was very excited to receive this item to test out with my son. Upon opening the box, I found that the setup was quite easy. The camera was already on a mounting stand which can then be placed on a dresser beside the crib. In addition to the base mount, there are also wall mounts that can allow the camera to be even closer to your child sleeping, yet still safe enough that there are no cords draping over the side of the crib. This internet viewing camera works fantastic on my iPhone 5 and it can also be used with android devices. The easy to follow directions gave me the name of the app to search in the app store. The app was free and easy to install on my phone. After following the login questions I was then able to try out the new camera. What I found neat about this is that the camera can be opened up by multiple people using apple and android devices. It is easy to share the app codes with your significant other as well as grandparents or anyone else that would like to check in on your little one. Once logged into the app, you are able to use arrows to move the camera in different angles. Another great feature about this camera is that you can say something over the phone to the baby such as "I love you!" and baby will hear it. I love this feature because if any family members are traveling out of town, they can still see your little one and interact with them.
If I could change something about this product, I would suggest that each Baby Link WiFi also come with one separate monitor that can be set up on a nightstand for the parents to view. It can be cumbersome to have to log into the app each time to turn the camera on, not to mention that it does drain on your phone battery so it is best to have it plugged in if having the camera on for an extensive amount of time.
I would definitely recommend this product to others, especially if family members have careers that involve travel. I found it quite accommodating to be able to check in on my little with by taking a quick look on my phone.

I received a free sample monitor to review and the overall functionality was good. Although, the setup was a few easy steps, it did not work initially. After troubleshooting, I was finally able to utilize the product. It has great features, for example being able to adjust the view of the camera remotely. If I could improve one thing it would be the quality of the picture. The picture is not very good, it displays as rather grainy. I believe the app capabilities is a good supplement to the monitor that the product is paired with. I do not believe in its current state that the WiFi app can function as the only monitor.

Baby Monitor PLUS lots more!
I received a free sample of the Baby Link Wifi to test. I was excited to try the product in my home because I have 2 small children, and the box shows its like a baby monitor but with the bonus of being able to log in on my smartphone while away from home.
One of the nice things about this product was the ease of set up. The product comes with step-by-step instructions, but the 1st step is all you would really need. After the 1st step you can do the rest on the phone.
Other things I was impressed with
1. You can tilt/turn the camera from your phone
2. I was able to use this as a baby monitor where I could see AND HEAR my children
3. You can talk into the phone and the camera will transmit your voice.
Things that could benefit from improvement
1. The picture on your phone is not super clear.
2. There was some audio feedback if you talked into your phone and through the camera.

Good camera that could use some improvements
I received this monitor for free to review, and overall I think it is a good camera that could use some improvements.
First the initial setup was very easy. As long as you know your wifi password and can download the app to your phone it takes about 5 minutes to complete. I thought that that the overall picture was above average quality. I also thought the sound was above average quality compared to the previous monitors I have used. I liked the pan feature so you could see more of the child's bed and/or room. I also enjoyed the temperature being displayed.
The things that I did not like about this monitor were that when I tried to take it to the grandparents house to use, it was much more difficult to set up. I'm not sure why this happened, and it took my dad and I over an hour to figure it out. Also after using this I am not sure how I feel about only having my phone as a way to see my child. What if my internet connection was not working? I would have no other options available to me. I wish that Summer Infant would sell a separate monitor to go with this for people who decide they would like that option. Also in the app on my phone it did say that there would be upgrades coming such as audio alerts, who's watching alerts and a light to show you someone is watching. I thought these would be standard with this camera, but they do not appear available yet. I also hope that they do not plan to charge for these features.
So overall I believe it is a good wifi monitor to use if you are comfortable with only having your phone/tablet to use to be able to see child. It had a good picture, good sound, did not lose any connection/signal, and is a reliable monitor so far.

Good camera but hard to rely on your phone and WiFi as your receiver
I received a free sample of this camera to review and I was very pleased with the product itself. However, I did experience some difficultly getting it up and going due to a defective camera [...]
The camera is relatively easy to set up and connect to the Summer WiFi Link app. I have a LG G2 phone and was able to install the app quickly and easily and then just followed the prompts to allow it to connect to the camera. I love that the app allows you to control the camera remotely so that I can scan the whole bedroom, which comes in handy since I have three boys in one room. It also allows you to talk through the camera from the app which allows me to not have to run upstairs every time I need to tell them to stop playing and go to bed. The picture clarity is good and it picks up sound very well without too much excess background noise. I didnt have any trouble with any hissing or buzzing like Ive had with monitors in the past. The camera has a sensor that tells you the temperature of the room which is an added benefit. The app has a lot of nice features that I don't know if Ill ever use but include snapshot and record that allows you to take pictures or record video.
Multiple cameras can be connected together so that you can view several rooms at the same time on the same screen which is a nice benefit if you have kids in different rooms that you want to watch.
While I really like the idea of the app, to use it as your primary receiver for your camera is not practical. It is a nice additional feature but in my opinion, I would just prefer to use the receiver. I utilize the camera to watch my youngest nap in the afternoon and then all three boys at night. Im often utilizing my phone during these times so it's hard to have the Summer app up while doing other things on my phone. Plus, the WiFi is weak in my bedroom so I lost my signal shortly after going to bed. Therefore I never attempted to use the camera throughout the night. So I would definitely recommend spending more to get the receiver along with the camera.
When I initially got the camera, I set it up, got it connected to the app on my phone and it all worked great. Then after I moved it into my boys room, the camera worked for two minutes and then went black. I went through all the troubleshooting techniques - adding/deleting the camera, uninstalling/reinstalling the app, moving the camera right next to the router - and nothing worked.my camera back to factory settings. I attempted to set up my camera again to no avail. [..]
Summary - I think the camera is great, the app is good, I would definitely recommend purchasing the camera WITH the receiver, and Summer's customer service needs a lot of improvement.

I received a this wifi camera for free in order to review it. Overall I liked the unit a lot. It was straightforward to use and the image quality was better than I had anticipated. The setup took 5 minutes and was clearly laid out on how to operate. I even made the mistake of switching networks without reading the instruction manual and called their technical support who fixed the problem very quickly. It was very handy to use if we were on another floor in our house, watching a movie, or in the back yard while the older kids played. The only thing I would recommend for this product is to buy it with a portable base station monitor. If you want a quick glance at your child, it is sometimes too much effort to unlock your phone, launch the app, wait for the signal to load and then simply lock your phone again, when the alternative would be to simply click on a monitor. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a great baby monitor.

Baby Link Wifi Internet Camera
Setup in my home was very quick and easy. No trouble connecting the camera to our Wi-Fi network. The quick setup guide instructed me through a series of simple pictures. Fast and successful set up makes me a happy momma, so far.
Viewing my child from my IPhone and IPad and knowing they are safe and sleeping comfortably.
Camera rotation ability.
Not so good:
There is quite a lag which makes navigating this camera more difficult to operate. When trying to watch your child around the entire room/crib, you may have trouble unless the camera is mounted high in the corner of the room.
While using this for a few nights we did lose our Wi-Fi connection for a short while. Our IPhones and IPad made loud alerts that woke us up with a message saying the monitor had disconnected. Glad that feature worked.
Poor camera quality which results in poor video monitoring.
Unreliable IPhone and IPad app with multiple bugs/errors during my use. For example: redirecting the camera to odd angles, stretching photos, and crashing, falling off the Wi-Fi network. Perhaps purchasing the actual summer baby monitor will help with this problem? Not sure.
Limited viewing range within my own home while connected to Wi-Fi.
Overall, I am not a huge fan of this video monitor. I have had better luck just listening to my child while using the old school monitors before video came along. Sometimes things are better off left untouched. At this point I don't feel comfortable recommending this item to others. Not worth the price or frustration associated with this product.
