Rated 2 out of 5 by from Am I missing something?? I have never written a review in my life, but Im pretty disappointed in this monitor. Am I crazy or missing something?? I registered for this one (because of the great reviews), and wS hesitant because of the expensive price. The camera picture is poor, it's black and white and grainy. The screen is small and it doesn't homd a charge for nothing. I got over that. But now the app NEVER has worked. That was one of the reasons I chose this so I could use my phone away from home. We've tried on several devices and it crashes every time. NOT worth the money!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I had to write a review on this. I almost didn't buy it due to the bad reviews. This is our second video monitor. Our first is a Samsung video monitor. The Samsung's battery hardly lasts 30 minutes without needing a recharge. This one, once unplugged, automatically shuts the video off and only has sound to save power. Love that feature. Also the WiFi app works great for me and is so great if we want to go to the neighbors for a drink on the weekend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Purchased this as a gift for my daughter and her husband. It was difficult to get the account set up, and once they did get the account set up the monitor did not work very well. They had trouble getting it to log on to wifi and apparently there is also a monthly fee to continue using the wifi feature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not to expectations Extremely distorted video quality in night mode (which is primarily when you use it). The wifi would connect/disconnect constantly. I did not feel I could trust it. I returned this product for the Motorola.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wow...is this thing bad! As did everyone else reviewing this product, I bought mainly to view via iphone/ipad while traveling for work. The remote view ability for this product is so bad that they shouldn't be able to market it as a "Wi Fi" monitor. I can pick up my home wi fi nearly a mile away on my ipad but this monitor can't seem to hold the signal? It works great as a standard video monitor in the house but if you are looking to spend the extra $200 for something that allows you to view remotely, this is defintely not worth wasting your time on. I wish you could give negative star reviews!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing This product is very disappointing. First make sure the camera is DIRECTLY next to a wireless router or you are not getting internet viewing. Even if you do that, there will still be periods it just doesn't work. For reference sake my internet signal fluxes between 6 and 9 Mbps. If you have less than 5 don't waste your time even considering this monitor. The handset is okay but the charge only lasts for about 4 hours assuming you are diligent about turning the screen off. The resolution on the camera is also terrible. I can tell that, yes in fact, there is a baby in the crib but that is about it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for small apt- not worth it!! After reading reviews and doing some research we decided to give this monitor a try. My fiance is away for weeks at a time for work so we were looking for a monitor that would allow him to see and interact with our little one while away from home. After over an hour of trying to get it to connect to our wifi, we were unsuccessful. My connection on my cellphone had full signal and yet the camera would only connect in one specific corner of the room. Our router is located downstairs so without a purchasing a range extender for our wifi signal this will not work in our home. According to Summer Infant the camera should be within 150ft of the router which I believe our nursery is. This will be getting returned tomorrow. I really had high hopes for this monitor but this was just a complete disappointment. I would also like to mention we are a pretty tech savvy home- so not being tech savvy was not a issue with this.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

What it is: This high-end video monitor offers a clear video picture and has an extremely easy setup. It’s also simple to pan and tilt the camera using the touch-screen video monitor; there’s an option to shut off the video and use it as an audio-only monitor; and, once charged, the parent screen has a nice long battery life.

What to watch out for: Downloading the app was no problem, and the instructions were clear, but darned if we could get the WiFi connection working on a smartphone even after trying in two different locations, and other parents have noted similar WiFi challenges. There’s also constant static in the audio, even with your baby’s quiet.
