I've been using this rail on my convertible crib for over 6 months and love it. I bought mine in white and have not had to wash it. My toddler, who sleeps wild often will be pressed against the rail for most of the night and it keeps them in place. I would recommend this product if you are using a bed that has weight to it, such as a crib that converts to a toddler bed. The only con to this product is that with the mattress in the lowest position, the rail does not fold down all the way to ma ke changing bed sheets easier.
I bought this for my child's toddler bed because she was still falling out at night. The rail is built for twin mattresses or bigger so it didn't adjust down enough to fit the crib mattress. However I was able to wedge it in between support slats so that it is very secure and doesn't move at all. Using it with a bed smaller than intended, you can't fold the rail down for easier access getting in and out. However, a child wouldn't have the strength or arm width to work the mechanics to fold it d own anyway, the parent would have to. Looking at the picture again, the one I received is not the same one pictured here. It's close, but the one I received looks thicker, the cover zips up around the top and comes all the way to the bottom where the hinges are, the hinges on mine are chunkier round plastic push-button pieces, and the graphics are different. Overall the one I received is very pretty and I feel worth the money to help keep my child in her own bed at night.
I bought this thinking since they are bed rails it would convert my child's toddler bed that they manufacturer does not make rails for any long. WRONG! This may work with a twin bed but not with a toddler bed. It will not fully fold down if the toddler bed is set to the lowest setting and if you put the bed higher it is unstable in the bed. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I bought 2 of these for my twin toddlers beds and they are very sturdy while providing the security my girls need while transfering from there crib to a real bed and I feel good knowing that they can't fall out. The cover is washable on gentle cycle and very soft to the touch. I would recomend this product for any mom who wants to match safety with something pretty!
