This budget-priced compilation from Sony BMG collects ten cuts from the most earnest group of musicians ever to choose their moniker from a Monty Python sketch. Super Hits, despite its economical length and packaging, does a fine job of defending Toad the Wet Sprocket's reputation as a smart, melodic folk-pop machine by sticking with obvious hits like "Walk on the Ocean," "All I Want," "Fall Down," and "Nanci," but a proper Toad career overview is long overdue (1999's P.S.: A Toad Retrospective doesn't count, as it was stocked with as many remixes and alternate versions as it was legitimate album cuts).
