Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice set.. or just "okay" as it turned out to what I didn't expect. Ordered this set for my desk to replace my acting up Surround sound system at my desk. Unboxing it was a breeze as the packaging was quite nice and amazed of the reflective black paint of the front of the subwoofer and noticed the physical knobs for the volume, treble, and bass which was convenient for me until I played a couple of songs. What I wasn't impressed with is that the subwoofer is easily topped out which i hear the rattling of the cone. Well okay, that's weird cause we have this bass adjustment knob and even if the bass is turned halfway up, it tops out which the volume isn't even on full blast. Oh well, nothing I can do other than to deal with it and buy a new speaker set with a better subwoofer or just better overall in the future. Moving on to the woofers and tweekers, they are strong and loud which impressed me a lot. Nice strong treble coming through them and nothing more i can ask from the pair. So to sum it all up, wasn't impressed with subwoofer on how it's not as powerful as I expected and was happy with the rest. Probably my standards and expectations were too high for the subwoofer but for what I wanted, i wasn't happy with that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing These speakers are great for the money! The subwoofer is 4 out of 5 though because of the size it's about 4 inches of speaker diameter, but the sub itself is very portable! I would recommend for anyone looking for some speakers for their bedroom or computer room! Especially if they are looking to save quite a few Benjamin Franklins!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Sound - Incredible Value I don't know what the story is down in Texas but I really LOVE these ! I've purchased 3 sets. Use one with my laptop, one with a guest bedroom dvd player and gave one to my dad to supplement the sound of his bedroom tv. The sound is crisp and clean with respectable bass from the powered subwoofer. My only negatives, other than a power switch there are no controls or adjustments. All volume and tone adjustments are done externally and pre-input. Also the subwoofer is surrounded by 6 blue LEDs that serve no purpose other than to indicate power and "look kewl", I can do without them. [...].
